@No-Quarter the lack of 'play from start' is spectactularly annoying.

I find the app crashes regularly on my (new) Neo QLED as well. Frustrating - but when I complained, I got generic responses that I just gave up.

That said, I still prefer it to the dish, starting programmes within 24 hours is really nice

Can you seriously not play from the start? That seems like pretty basic functionality you'd expect from a sports streamer.

uh, you don't interact much with Sky NZ do you.

    Yes, it's basic.
    No they don't offer it.

    #FML?

Not in the last 7 years. 🙂

Although I would say that when using Stan it took me a game to figure out where the watch from the start was.

... and if you are casting, the going back 2 hours is nonexistent.

Spark Sport's watch from start functionality is so good. Makes Sky look prehistoric

Well I’m having to try it out as I couldn’t get the install done today.

Sign up was good, basics are ok. I’ll try to not touch it during the game to avoid issues described above.

    True. Didn't realise that.

Tried it through the PS5 last night and the same issue. You can only watch live.

Also note I can't cast it from my Mac. Not sure what's up there but what a shit streaming service.

Experience was not good. Stuttered several times and it skipped 20 seconds.

5 sec pauses a few times during the game? That was on the regular sky coverage.

I'd pay for access on demand to a back catalogue of rugby games.

I jumped in now, just ditched sky as I'm only watching rugby

Rugbypass, when it was streaming for non rugby Nations, basically had thrle entire year of all decent rugby on demand. It was such a good deal, VPN via Mongolia and you had so much rugby

The big problem is the lack of investment by Sky in SkySport Now. It is a pig of an app and has been for a long time with seemingly no inclination by them to improve.

Kayo is the same here in Oz, luckily for me the rugby is on Stan and it's generally top notch.

SkyGo is very good in comparison. Although I've never used it myself, there are plenty of complaints about the picture quality of SSN.

SSN has terrible UI. You have to go searching for content that isn't live. The sport category pages are randomly updated. You have to log in and out to get it going sometimes. Just a shit app. Plenty of live testers telling them the issues but they don't care.

And neither of them is as good or as functional as Spark Sport

I watched Spark Sport for the first time since the RWC when I registered again for the CL final. I can't comment on the UI as I didn't spend any time browsing but the PQ for the football wasn't as good as I was expecting.
