If this Georgian ref gets a knockout game.... fuck me dead.....

    Why?

Aside from one dubious YC I thought he had a great game

Have to be a 3 match minimum with his history, surely?

If it’s not, then World Rugby do not give a fuck about player welfare and we can forget all the changes to the contact area

A couple of decisions aside, I felt he communicated very well, followed through with the warnings he gave and pretty much had zero tolerance for infringement, but without any detriment to the game being played.

This is, in principle, what we’ve all been crying out for and now he gets shit for dishing out too many cards?

    Bizarre.

Yeah but… Zander Fagerson. Much more dangerous than what Farrell did. Had previous sanction for exactly the same thing and yet…?

    Absolute filth from Owen Farrell.

One of his more milquetoast shoulder charges too to be fair.

He has previous cameos that put todays effort in the ha'penny place.

A dog act from a grub.

Its going to be very interesting to see how that "hit" is minimised to the minimal sentence they can get away with - considering his record and a suspension earlier this year , and attending "tackle school" this grub should be gone for a minimum of 6 weeks

Well that was some ludicrously bad rugby. Both these teams deserve to get absolutely rinsed in France

I only watched until half time because it was pretty fucken dire, but I was extremely impressed by the ref and had meant to find out who it was.

Now the players make the game a shit show and we're blaming the ref again are we?

Considering all the factors that are taken into account, it will probably be four weeks, if he's "unlucky" five. That's assuming he apologised at the earliest time possible and an early guilty plea.

@Stargazer haha apologising, that like when my mum made me apologise to my brother after he taunted me and I smacked him...I didn't mean it, but did it to keep the lawmaker happy...

@taniwharugby Yeah, there's nothing genuine about it, but that's how it works.

Can you replace someone in your squad for suspension or is injury the only way out?

Was thinking about this earlier... In this day'n'age... RWC warmup games are not just a risk re: injury, but also cards/citations.

It can also be for "personal reasons".

England’s warm up schedule is a bit silly, no? They’re gonna have to bring a lunch against Ireland next week to avoid getting tasted and then Fiji can soften them up plenty the following week. Might not be too many left before they play Arg.

    One for the team

    I went back

I was wrong, the ref was right

Overextended, forearms on the floor momentarily

Penalty, and in context a deserved YC
