@Nepia I think I actually bailed on Seal Team 2 eps into the final season.
Can't even recall his name, but main character so often pissed me off.
So for some weird reason I kept watching this show, not sure why, it was easier to just keep watching rather than think of something new to watch?
Anyway, I can't recall another show where the main character is such an annoying character. Even anti heroes are likeable, this guy is just completely unlikeable. I don't know why any of his team, family, girlfirend's would ever actually like him the way they talk about him on the show. Weird choice by the writers of the show.
I thought all the characters in Ozark were pretty much arseholes

I think the difference is they're all supposed to be, yet this guy is supposed to be liked by everyone, but he's just a dickhead.
Ozark is also a much better show.

Started on Loudermilk yesterday. Thought it might be a bit of a dud but actually quite liking it so far.
"Centers on Sam Loudermilk, a recovering alcoholic and substance abuse counselor with a bad attitude."
Started this last night as a result of watching a piece on why Office Space is a cult classic. Really enjoying it.

For All Mankind S4.
Started so-so and almost gave up but then developed really, really well. Great plotting and twists
-
@antipodean the ordering coffee scene still gets me every time I replay it from the memory banks.

Really enjoyed Season 2 of The Tourist
I enjoyed S1 but with no Luci in S2 I am less interested in watching.

Just finished it. I really enjoyed it and thought S2 was better.

Archie (ITV, Britbox) 4 part biopic of Cary Grant and his relationship with Dyan Cannon and his daughter, Jennifer. Superbly acted by Jason Isaacs as Grant and Harriett Walter as his mother.
Worth a watch if you bored of Netflix/Prime/Apple crime or action shows

Mental note: Apply RT policy to Graeme's reviews in future. The second season of Reacher is certainly not better in any measure than the first.
-
@antipodean I am enjoying it, but my issue, that I don't recall from S1 is at times Reacher is a bit of an arrogant dick (his interactions with Russo mostly) and not that likeable, whereas S1 he seemed the strong silent type with some witty lines.
-
I don't find Reacher S2 any better or worse than S1. I'm leaning towards some people having rose tinted glasses about S1 though.
One thing I will say about S2 is that Reacher and team have the most powerful hand guns ever invented. They can outshoot automatic weapons. So so silly.
-
@taniwharugby Yeah, they've really gone over the top with that, and he just seems like a shithead.

My take is that he is playing the role with slightly autistic characteristics meaning he just doesn’t understand the impact of his behaviour, nor care hence the appearance of arrogance. Anyway could be wrong but either way I am still ok with the show, still enjoying it

Reacher
- all criticisms are correct
- all apologists are correct
- In general - it's very true to the source material
= Complaints about plot, character, etc - should be directed at Lee Child, not the TV adaptation
In the books - Reacher is very much border-line autistic, possibly sociopath, very much a prick; and the plots are ridiculous. Perfect for a TV serieseses. Sit back, switch brain off, enjoy.
(I say this authoritatively, having watched a single episode of S02 thus far)
-
The Reacher characterisation is fine - he's still intriguing. It's the cliched cardboard plot and wooden script/dialogue which are the problem

Apple delivering again
2 episodes in, excellent
