3 years ago I saw the Stones. Then 18 months ago I saw AC/DC - which was extremely fortunate as I wasn't to know that Brian was going to move on. Now both were totally amazing, and a real tick off the list sort of things.

But just this morning, I've gone and topped it.

Metallica are playing HK next Jan - done. I've seen them twice before, but it's been a lot time between drinks - Newstead was on bass when I saw them last!

And then also - Guns N FUCKING ROSES!! Singapore in Feb. The old crew - Axl, Slash, Duff and some other bogans. As a caveat, I still expect this concert to quite possibly suck shit. Or Axl and Slash to fall out before than and the whole thing to be tinned. But hey, it's guns and fucking roses man!!!

There is no purpose to this post, other than to show off.

    Me three! Sort of!

    GnR here in Feb!

Splashed out and got the most expensive tickets I could get! Thought we would be somewhere seated and comfy! Nope! Got tickets to right in front of the stage! Probably the only place I didn't want to be!!!

I really wish I checked before purchase but just assumed!

I saw Guns and Roses when they were young and they sucked, fucked if i am going now.

But i might jag tickets to Metallica on their latest tour if they come Aus, one more time seeing those granddads hammer out Master of Puppets would be good times i reckon. Might check out the tour's set list first though

Would have to be on point to beat Foo Fighters as a live act, that's for fucking sure.

Apparently GnR have reviewed well. Hopefully they play NZ before they piss each other off and blow up the tour.

Saw the Foo and Stones last times in NZ, they kicked ass. The stones are total pros, even now they rock

Saw Metallica 3 years ago, played black album start to finish then ran with some classics for encores. Would see them again in an instant, absolute class act

Sounded like Axel won rave reviews for his spell with AC/DC too.
Back in their prime there was always a 50% chance GnR would either pull out of show, be on stage 6 hours late or Perform without Axel( by all accounts was and probably still is a complete prick)

Jealous. I wish Thailand got some decent concerts (and sporting events). Unfortunately Thai boy bands and love song singers are about as good as it gets...

As an aside to the bucket list, how about bands you never got to see in their prime?

Top of my list are Pink Floyd. Closely followed by GnR ( even with the risk of being let down)

Saw Blondie in the late 90s in Auckland and Debbie Harry still rocked. Past her use by date now unfortunately

Got Springsteen tickets, missed him in the early 2000s becuase my ute shat its guts, missed him last time because I just bought a house but he sang Royals by lorde as his first song which is not an image I ever want in my head. Will be my sons first concert too.

@jegga You'll get your money's worth, he played for ages. Only disappointment last time was I went the night he played Born to Run in its entirety, the night before he did Born in the USA 😞

@canefan I'd be happy with either album to be honest.
