@Nepia haha I like my women a bit more smiley and less moody and sullen!

Cracks me up reading some of the stuff on the FB pages about TWD and obviously the comic book nerds going ape at how they do this and that...

You need to learn to appreciate or seperate both forms of the story...you can like the books (comics) and hate the TV

    Decent ep last night.

Loved the scene at the start with Negan and Sasha about 'rapey Dave', when we see little of Negan, love the way he is acted.

We have to have a conclusion of Negan next week though (finale?) will piss a lot of people off if they drag this over into the next season.

I think they'll have to go into next season. Can they wrap all of this up in the space of one episode? They could devote an entire season to the war, which I reckon they will do.

What I find weird with Negan is that he kills and treats those closest to him like shit, yet rewards those who try to kill him. Carl tries to kill him and tops 2 of his men, yet he lets him go. Rosita fired a gun at him from point blank range, but he let her go. Similar thing in this episode. She infiltrates the base, presumably kills a few saviours, and then he tries to turn her. Oh yeah and he executes one of his own guys who's trying to rape the person who infiltrated the camp with the sole purpose of killing him.

I just can't see a guy who operates like that being able to stay alive for very long. For instance, he steals a guy's wife and then burns his face. That guy would top him the first chance he gets, not become his loyal follower.

yeah he is pretty lenient to Ricks gang, even taken Eugene in and given him a position of power, although TBF he seems such a pussy that Negan cant imagine him double crossing him.

Yeah no way can they wrap it up in an episode AND do it justice.

Maggie shoulda let that other git get eaten too, he is as annoying as Rosita!

final ep was a bit of a let down.

Firstly relying on the Mongols to help out, they shoulda had the Hilltop in that situation.

All those bullets flying about, so few casualties of the main groups, thought Michone was gonna at least take out Negan, if not there, hoped earlier Eugene had passed Sasha a gun to take out Negan when he opened the coffin, although the opening scene showed you what she was upto...scenes with Abraham were pants.

In small doses, love his character portrayal, but reckon they needed to finish him there, throw the Saviours into a bit of disarray for a bit.

Negan seems your typical bad guy, spends all his time explaining and chatting about shit, rather than doing shit!

Lucky the Tiger knew who the baddies were too 🙂

What a shit piece of tv that final episode was. That's the worst battle scene I've ever seen.

I was thinking at least if they keep Negan alive they can have a guerrilla war next season to make that exciting but that battle was so piss poor that I think they need to stick to stabbing zombies in the head as their best action.

Those rubbish dump people and their cabbage speak are stupid as well.

Why do I keep subjecting myself to this show???

Mostly so I can whinge about it I guess. 😉

Agree on letdownedness..I actually had a little bit of hope from the previous episode. I'm really running out of characters that I actually like and unlike game of thrones its not because they are dying despite close firefights with automatic weapons. I think my favourites now are that lesbian with the knife from the ladies camp, the mustachioed right hand man of Negan and maybe that king bloke with the dreads as I look to him being as mad as a hatter and everyone just following along because the world is mad anyway.

I actually told myself with 20 mins to go that once this Negan situation was resolve and the series finished I would never watch another again. Damned writers saw me coming so looks like I have 1 more season left in me.

    Bastards.

I watch because it is true-loves third favourite show and I had already read this thread so knew what was going to happen and had to act interested when she said that she thought that lady in the coffin would be dead and bite Negan etc.

Was a dull ole episode especially given that I knew what was going to happen.

I did enjoy the intensity/vicousness of that battle on the roof although I would have much preferred to see how she went from being nearly thrown off the roof to being able to throw the other one off the roof

Sorry I'm late to the thread. I was a real WD fan until I missed a few seasons but I'm all caught up now....

    A few thoughts.....

Negan is one of, if not THE best TV bad guy ever.

Ditto for Simon as a 2IC.

The series is really set up brilliantly for next season as the groups band together to take on the saviours.

Anyone else into Fear the Walking Dead? After an awesome first season which essentially followed what woulda happened if Rick hadnt been in a coma it's descended into real boredom. Not many characters to root for and no main bad guy doesn't help.

@MN5 have you seen the web series yet? Cold storage is good and the back story of bicycle girl. There's one explaining the backstory of the kiwi girl in FTWD too.

@MN5 FTWD started so well, I thought ep 2 was brilliant, but has been on a downward spiral since, but I still watch it!! 🙂

Cliff Curtis needs to channel his iner Jake the MUss a bit more though instead of the piss weak pussy he is most of the time!

Yeah the parts where they got quarantined, segregated etc before the dead inevitably took over were cool. Strand lost a shitload of cool factor by being a raving arse a bandit ( it's true ). Both long haired teenagers irritate the fuck out of me.

The show is really weak in comparison.

@MN5 and as the world was falling apart and they were stuck in the barber shop, thought it was quite an intense episode...but yeah they seem to make teens in so many series nowadays like that and you just hope the zombies or someone fucks them up.

Daniel is a cool character. We'll see him again according to Wikipedia.

How nice is Strands boat? I'd just say fuck it and live on that if I were in the situation! ( obviously after finding a mechanic somewhere )

Thoughts on the first episode back in ?

I found the flash forwards weird.

Negan seems to have lost a fuckload of mystique and menace.

The hilltop leader is a fluffybunny.

Overall no where near as much anticipation as there was for GOT. The series is really starting to drag

It was so F-ing annoying, worst tactical plan ever, roll up on a building where the enemy occupy high ground, waste precious bullets shooting out windows, don't kill the big bad despite the multiple chances you have.

The Walking Dead writers are just trolling us now.

S'funny. I felt there was a lot of anticipation that Rick had underestimated things with Negan yet again.
