7 Days in Entebbe - Daniel Bruhl, Rosamund Pike
based on the true story of the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight from Tel Aviv to Paris, by German revolutionists and Palestinians and the subsequent rescue by the Isralis.
Could have been better, no real tension or anything, decent story not told very well.
2.75 hijackers out of 5 dead ones.
I remember when I worked in radio getting free tickets to Jack Reacher. I went with a bunch of mates and she bent over for a great cleavage shot, one of my mates yelled 'fucken hell, tits on that' really loudly....i think the entire cinema cracked up.....brilliant.
Best part of the movie which was otherwise crap.
She was pregnant at the time , normal transmission has been resumed titwise since.
Still hot though.Yes I did consider that after seeing the other movies. First trimester glow...
She was in one of Brosnan's Bond films, surely she flashed something there?
The only tits in Bond are ( arguably ) some of the guys who play Bond.

terrible actress, not bad to look at though
She was brilliant as a psycho in Gone Girl. I don't really know of her other than Jack Reacher and Bond so not sure of her other acting work.
@taniwharugby I've just recently read the book the latest movie was based on, it's a really good read - haven't seen the movie, heard it's very disappointing, but you should give the book a read. I think it's actually called 'Operation Thunderbolt'.
yeah, she was amazing in that film. Fatal Attraction Glenn Close good.
Weirdly, terrible and wooden in everything else I’ve seen her in.

Took the boy to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on IMAX in 3D.
Asked him what he thought of the movie afterwards and his response was: "that was absolutely AWESOME!!!".
Have to agree, but when it comes to Dinosaur movies I'm pretty easy to please. The Indoraptor was pretty badass, and we are all set for plenty of carnage in the next movie - bring it on!
Note for parents: overall not too scary, just some moderately intense/thriller type scenes later on in the dark with the Indoraptor. My boy is 5 and was fine, but he's a bit of a bit of a nut when it comes to Dinosaurs, I think he roots for the Dinosaur a lot of the time.
4.5 dead billionaires out of 5 epic Raptor battles.
I'm the complete opposite, I enjoyed JW1, it was a good fun movie, however this was a badly written bore. It had all the right pieces, dinosaurs, Chris Pratt playing Indy, cartoon bad guys, a mostly non annoying moppet yet it just didn't gel for me (and my mate I saw it with).
:::
So, when red head was about to push the open button I let out an actual sigh and told my mate the makers can't be this stupid ... when she didn't do it I went phew. Then the kid did it. So basically the kid unleashed killing beasts on the world. What utter bollocks.
It may have set up a sequel but it's a sequel I'm not going to pay money to see.
:::
Glad you and the boy liked it though.

A Quiet Place
Thought it was good, a bit better than say 3 quiet moments out of 5 WTF are you doing moments, but if I'd seen at the cinema, reckon it may have increased to 4 as I feel seeing it on the big screen would have added to the atmosphere.

Well you and your mate sound like curmudgeonly on bastards...
I think I just had different expectations going on. They will never top the first one, not least because at the time a lot of the hype was "OMG the Dinosaurs actually look real!" whereas nowadays any slight hint of them not looking realistic is jumped on.
I went into the movie hoping for some sweet action scenes, bad-ass Dinosaurs eating people, some nice shots of Bryce Dallas Howard, and wasn't overly concerned as to whether the story itself was a masterpiece. From that perspective it didn't disappoint.
There's also an element of father-son bonding that is causing some bias - it's great fun watching these movies with the boy and seeing how excited he got when the Volcano was erupting, or the Indoraptor was stalking people etc.

American Made
Fun little crime movie just loosely based around real events to give it some gravity. The story itself isn't new, but this was a fun version of it. Tom Cruise is fucking great, seems to have a lot of fun with the role.
Skinny blonde girls aren't really my thing, but Lucy Seal was freaking hot
3.5 stupid company men out of 5 scared gringos

So, I'm on a not great movie run at the moment - saw Sicario 2 last night. It had some ok action set pieces but had an even stupider ending then JW2. Just average - 2.5 Drug Kingpins daughters out of 5 Terrorist from Jersey. Also, similar to JW2 this movie seems to partially exist in order to setup another sequel.
Also, the story was just weird when you consider how the first one ended (spoilers for both):
:::
The original has Benicio kill the drug kingpin's kids - and really at that point the character is un-redeemable. He didn't have to kill the kids to get his 'revenge'. So in this one we're supposed to believe he's the protector of the child of an unmentioned even bigger drug kingpin boss?
That was just bollocks even if Del Toro is good in this role.
:::
Although, TBF, while I liked the first one I never thought it was the masterpiece some hailed it as, just a good drama with decent action sequences that made Emily Blunt unattractive (loses half a star straight away). I think fans of that film who loved it because of the director will really dislike this one.

I enjoyed it but the leap from the first Sicario to this one has plenty of plot holes, and the focus on other characters detracts from the main cast.
:::
The trailer makes you believe the movie will unfold in a certain way (i.e., a battle between Alejandro and Graver), when it doesn't.
As you say, the ending sets up the third installment of the trilogy but if little Miguel is to be a Sicario he might want to be a better shot.

I'd give it 3.5 sheep out of 5 narco whores

Watching a lot of Rose Byrne movies lately.
Bateman and Fey are great in this.
Three and a half sitting shiva's out of five deceased bodies.
-
Finally saw a good movie - The Incredibles 2. Great fun. Superhero comedy movie, just animated instead of live action. The best bit is a super powered baby having a fight with a raccoon.
I was going to re-watch the first one before going to see this one but made a snap decision to go while at dinner - but you don't really need to have seen the first one to watch this one.
The story is predictable, but that doesn't really matter as it's all done so well.
4 multiplying babies out of 5 g-rated Samuel L Jacksons.

@antipodean I enjoyed that too , Katherine Hahn was pretty funny too. She’s great at playing crazy characters, the lawn scene with the two mums and Olyphsnts “ oh, you didn’t know about this?” Deadpan response was my favourite.
-
@jegga @antipodean I saw that movie, I know that I liked it, but I can't really remember a thing about it. I didn't even remember that Rose Byrne was in it - or Mrs Coach for that matter. It is strange, maybe I was half asleep when I watched it.

@nepia Worth a re-watch IMO.
Could be a plan, although, 5 minutes in I'll likely remember everything.

I put it on the same category of the descendants and the way way back . Could easily watch it again.

I guess I didn't (yet) because I've watched those two at least twice and forgot this one existed until @antipodean post.

Haha , I like the ones with complicated families . That’s why I put it with those two, they are better films though imho .
