I saw Corey Feldman, yes Corey Feldman the Goonie, Lostboy and Michael Jackson sycophant has come out and said he has a recording of him reporting being abused by Hollywood folk.
Whats interesting is that he told the cops this in 93 and it was swept under the carpet. Now the participating police dept has said that the report actually took place and there was recording of the interview but can not or will not release. However this is when Feldman came in. His lawyer requested a copy of the interview all those years ago and Corey claims he has a copy.
Can only imagine, if true, who is implicated.
The Feldman and Haim stuff is really sickening and not getting anywhere near the attention it should be. The complete lack of support from other celebrities really makes you wonder what the hell goes on in Hollywood.
When Haim died he wasn't even acknowledged at the Oscars ceremony when they show the actors that have died during the year. Obviously Haim had ceased to be a star decades prior, but surely he had the runs on the board to get a mention.
As someone who was a big fan of the 2 Coreys back in the day it's so tragic to see what happened to them.

@no-quarter The awful Barbara Walters told Feldman that he was "damaging an entire industry".

Makes a mockery of the Times person of the year award that went to Hollywood women who had stood up up sexual abuse, Feldman beat them all by 20 years and paid a hefty professional price. Opportunists like Ashley Judd did and paid nothing.

Reminds me of the memorable Mark Twain quote:
"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."

That could be applied to so many groups at the moment.
Not sure how the tragedy of Feldman makes a mockery of something that happened later. If anything the eventual calling out of creeps provides justification.
That he didn't get support from the same people that came out and added weight years later is an indication of just how difficult the situation was.

So Weinstein's victims were sympathetic to him? Agreed with where he was coming from?
Hardly a good comparison.

True enough. But I'm not sure how many of those Janie-Come-Latelies would have been shortlisted for Time's "Person" of the Year, let alone actually win the thing.

They knew and kept quiet. Allowing more attacks to happen .
Feldman spoke up years ago and it cost him. Where were these people then? -

Feldman spoke up years ago and it cost him. Where were these people then? Are we really back to trying to explain how it is actually, and obviously, not simple for victims of any form of bullying to speak up?
This concept that victims are weak or complicit is just plainly ignorant.

Maybe you are starting to get it....Feldman is a superior example of how hard it is....yet he lost his career and a bunch of others who found it to hard to fight or didn't want to risk a career get on the cover of Time...
Where was Ashley Judd for the last 2 decades? -
Super size me was debunked but he managed to build a career off the back off it. Now it turns out he’s actually way dodgier than just faking results of his “ experiment “.

What did he fake? Did he not eat maccas for 30 days?
-
@baron-silas-greenback Jesus Christ. Let's not lose sight of the actual scumbags here. Of course everyone could have always done more, but I think it's a bit much to have a crack at the Ashley Judd's of the world for not being forthcoming enough with their stories of abuse.
I am very unwilling to judge victims of abuse for the way they decide to deal with it. Haim was poorly treated, but his situation shouldn't be used as a stick to beat other victims with years later.

You have to take it on a case by case basis. Sexual harassment is an incredibly messy, subjective area of law. Sexual assault and rape are more clear cut and should be dealt with accordingly. Rightly or wrongly, there's no doubt some of the people coming forward now did not do so in the past as it would jeopardize their career in Hollywood. It really is a seedy, corrupt industry.
It is pretty shitty that Haim and Feldman get basically no coverage though. That's where all the attention should be focused - kids are so bloody vulnerable.

It's been a while since I've read his autobiography but I wonder what the deaf girl's recollection is of 'that' night...or what would that recollection be now that there is some serious coin to be made.

This guys always struck me as a sanctimonious dick and the media here have loved him since his LOTR days . I expect this to be picked over by whoever wants to make a big deal about it starting with his refusal to discuss Spacey.

Meryl Streep is taking the piss if she thinks her story about knowing nothing about Weinsteins behaviour is even remotely believable. Good friends for decades, worst kept secret in Hollywood, but she inexplicably didn't have a clue. Insert Tui bullboard.
