@MiketheSnow looks like it was an awesome night. Last time I saw the Stereophonics play was as second support to Paul Weller at a Teenage Cancer Trust gig at Royal Albert Hall and most of the crowd was still at the bar. I think they had had some time off playing and were just starting up again. Anyway I assume you were singing along to this one. …

I don't mind the Stereophonics but I've never really thought of them to be gig enough to be a stadium band.
Yet, they seem to be (in Wales anyway). I saw them at same stadium in late 2003 (I think). Was brilliant.

Watching Paul McCartney at Glastonbury.
80 years old.
Absolutely incredible. Some people are just born extra special. He’s defo an all time legend.
I'm jealous as fuck.
Watching the video on iPlayer and see why some of the reviews have called it an historic cultural event. You sense the people there will be talking about it for decades. Loved that he played some of his lesser-known gems like "Feel like Letting Go"

I was watching on TV too ….
Thought “Something” was stunning. Crowd singing it was spine tingling.

Oh, I thought you might have glamping at Glastonbury.

@MN5 TBF both pretty shit lyrics
I had to google Friday - not my sort of thing but there is a tradition of songs about the weekend and this clearly fits in with things like Friday on My Mind, TGIF, Friday I'm in Love.
This just being the latest.
Plus those aren't even the correct lyrics

The lyrics for Kashmir are complete wank…….then again lots of lyrics are when you see them written down.
But it’s still one of THE best songs ever so fuck it.

@MN5 Plant has said he wished Zep was known for Kashmir and not Stairway to Heaven. Couldn't agree more.
Absolutely…….Stairway is no where near their best song( plus it’s a pretty blatant rip off ).
A top ten in no particular order off the top of my head would be…..
Kashmir
Dazed and Confused
What is and what should never be
No Quarter
Over the Hills and far away
The Rain song
Achilles last stand
Black Dog
Ten Years Gone
Ramble on……….Interested in yours if you can be bothered !!!!

hmm surprised you haven't got Whole Lotta Love despite it being thrashed on rock radio
I'd also being considering Rock and Roll and Immigrant Song.
If you wanted a folksy one Battle Of Evermore
Two notable omissions that could easily be there.
What a fucken great band they were.
Whole lotta love is a cool song but not as good as the others I don’t reckon.

gets a bit lost with the psychedelic bit in the middle, but the start and the end are fucking incredible.

@MN5 i went through a phase in my late teens when they were my favourite band. Now I rarely listen to them. When I do it's always a blast but in small doses.
I prefer my listening to be a bit more nuanced in general but if you want a driving rhythm section over the top singing and a guitar wank fest - they're hard to beat and I don't mean that in any derogatory way
