Gunners at Hyde park. Killed it. Tales of Axel's demise are fake.

Certainly pretty far from my usual genre, and listening to a few more of her tracks, this may be a bit of a one off ... but I absolutely love this song.

Some poppy R&B, primarily because of the picture I saw in a review:

@Tim Coincidentally I came on to post Any Major Dude which I have had as an ear worm all morning- just the chorus.
It's a gorgeous song but after a few hours of it I want to bash my head against a wall, even though in my head I sound like Donald Fagen not dogmeat.

I'll post this - semi linked instead

Someone put a vid up of hers a week or two back. I’m a big fan.

How good was this band before Bon Scott died?

    Very.

Brian Johnson is awesome but Bon was even better.

    Absolute rock royalty.

I wonder if they would have been as big if he’d stayed with us though. For some reason I’m not sure I can picture him playing to the heaving mobs in the stadiums that AC/DC played too in the 80s onwards.

    Previously unreleased 1973 live recording.

Such an awkward, dorky looking bloke sure did make some amazing tunes.

Debated this with another mate of mine.

I agree that Bon was better, but I suspect he would have gone the Axl Rose route and sounded like shit by now. Whereas Johnson still sounds pretty much so the same.

Good example was last year at the Taylor Hawkins gig. When Johnson picked up the mic on stage and spoke, the whole audience lifted and when he screeched Back in Black it sounded like he may have recorded it yesterday. I'm not convinced that Bon would have had the same longevity.

@MajorPom I would say that this video is a case in point for what ever way you want to go:

The band is that their best, song is peak, recording is legit great - but vocals are super competent but a bit generic, Bon Scott would have put some nastiness on it?

    Well he certainly didn’t.

So completely sober sitting here having a nostalgia off with Bonesetta and I reckon I'm probably not on my own with this.

Room that echoes is top notch 80s and makes you take notice. How did Peking Man not have more success?

Margaret Urlich had a terrific voice.
