@sparky Honestly kind of impressed that hes going North. He definitely could have easily gone and ripped up in Japan for 6 months for an easier ride. Will be very interesting to see how he goes in that environment, considering hes been sort of the golden boy for auckland/blues for so long and will need to prove himself in Leinster, and will be directly compared with Jordie having just been there

Seems Leinster may have a good relationship with NZR and helping them get these players. I sure I read that Razor or some from NZR met with Leinster to help plan how Jordie would be used ,ie not burnt out, and hope same is done here. A win win situation.
Like @DurryMexted I impressed he gone north, think he will learn more etc.

I think they would learn more seperately, playing with different players etc. Also pretty sure it wouldn't work for Leinster anyway.

I have looked, and seems Jordie has only played 9 games at Leinster up until this weekend, the advantage of working in with the club by NZR?
Player shouldn't be burnt out at end of season, and still ok for test rugby.

Emerging prop Smith re-commits to Force until 2027

Emerging prop Smith re-commits to Force until 2027

He had a torrid time on Friday against Norris during the scrum but the Force have liked what they've seen so far from Josh Smith. Might be more difficult to tempt him back across the Ta$man in a few years, if the Force show this kind of faith early on.

Let's hope they can actually develop him, though. The Aussies don't have a great track record for developing props in recent years, at least not when it comes to the set-piece.

I wonder if Smith is lost to NPC as well. He has yet to establish himself but was in the HB squad.

@booboo Bruce Robertson's grandson. He made the Counties Academy a couple of years back but can't remember if he ever made it into their NPC squad.

Good luck to him. Didn't really get a chance to show if he do a job for the ABs, go for the money

I’ve always rated Stevenson and would have had in my AB side but as soon as the ABs brushed him off, this was inevitable. Good luck to him, the sort of talent we shouldn’t have let go so easily IMO.

Quite a bit better than James Lowe, enough said.
