@NTA DHP was excellent
Agree. For a guy that’s usually good for a clanger or two a game, he played with great composure and backed up very well.
Amazing how DHP plays well when he is selected in his proper position of fullback.
Cheika has been shoe-horning him onto the wing for years and he's not cut out for it. He's a poor winger and a good fullback.

@Damo this whinging and playing the victim is very un-Australian. Chieka, Kearns and everyone else who should know better should be ashamed
That's a myth, the NRL is riddled with it - I don't watch AFL but I assume it is too.

French flair, hulking saffa forwards, now the aussies. Which of my long held preconceptions will be debunked next?

Hopefully nothing to do with powder and dryness.

WalesOnline verdict.
Agree on 3 of the 4. Patchell shit technique, carry on.
-
Tipuric deliberately taken out off the ball in lead up to AAC try
-
Kerevi penalty
-
G Davies Interception
-
Genia forward pass in lead up to DHP try
I really dislike these sort of articles.
The premise is always 'well [TEAM X] think they were robbed, but actually it was [TEAM Y, WHO I SUPPORT] that was hard done by'.
And I readily admit the Australian press pull this trick out on occasion too.
Point #1 really sums it up. Go through the video of any try and there's a 100% chance you will find a penalty offence committed by the attacking team in the lead-up phases.
Yeah it's a penalty. Well done, WalesOnline. But that sort of incident happens half a dozen times a game, especially in this era of 'second man' attack with lines of blockers running flat.

Wow wow wow, lets be careful here. Claiming someone is un-Australian is the biggest insult in the universe. Equaled only by calling someone a Grub.
Fair dinkum! -

Fair dinkum!I strongly debate that. The aussies love and celebrate grubs as long as they win!

fucking me too #metoo
Rugby is a fucked game. If you trawl through a rugby game in slow mo, getting the pause button out, and make some stills, any rugby game, between any sides, you can very easily build a narrative about how you were robbed, because there is iffy shit at every single breakdown/contest. And without context, you can make it damning as fuck.
This arms race of deadshits claiming they were robbed, being one-upped by deadshits from the other side claiming they were robbeder, is how we end up in this fucking mess in the first place.

@Kirwan on the other hand it's also well after Genia has picked up the ball.
Yep, to be clear, I think he was onside when I rewound it

He was actually more onside than the guys next to the ruck - given there are no "last feet" on their side, technically any part of their body in contact with the ground should be back behind the last body on the ground on their side.
But fuck it: for me no penalty. And if they'd looked at it with the TMO, they would have found that.
As @barbarian said last night, it seems the refs have eased right up on the gate at ruck time, as well as play on the ground in general. THe attacking team is getting a bit more leeway than the defenders, and that is producing rugby with fewer penalties.

The law did change subtly in that regard last year.
