MOTM v Ireland
-
Not sure who usually sets thus up but can't see it.
Usual three votes.
Edit: don't know what's happening with the scrambled order ... entered the numerically in position.
-
@booboo I did one without numbers and still jumbled the ordering
Aaron SMith - best game since After David Gate, outstanding delivery and organisation
Read - like his predecessor, largely written off in recent times, stepped up, carried, tackled, lead
Whitelock - huge engine, just everywhere. -
Read, BB and Smith.
Cane and R D Surveyor v. close.
-
Smith Read and Moody
Heaps of honorable mentions

I believe @duluth said that if you leave the full stops in, it confuses the software and makes a mess of it. So just the numbers would work.
I'm also standing by my decision that we should have 23 votes for this. They were all really good. Standout probably Aaron though.
-
Read, Smith and Ardie for me. BB, Goodhue, Cane and many others could have been picked too.
Amazing, consistent performance across the board
-
can we add Snowy and Sparky for providing constant score updates in the match thread please?

On normal posts that's correct. However I think this is just the voting plugin being out of date.
I won't be updating anything until after the rwc (b/c the risk of a long down time)

I already told you I was following the advice of others on here and got drunk. Not my fault that you can't use the interweb and find a live scoring site.
-
Smith and Read obvious. Could have been any of 5 or 6 others for the final pick. I went for Goodhue. Accomplished performance and one amazing offload for the second try that basically was enough to win.
-
@Duluth yeah I created a poll same time as Booboo and I didnt have numbers and they were still in some random order.
INteresting that the 'official' MOTM isnt getting anywhere near as much love on here....

Bang
If I were to back down and vote - then - bang.
-
Moody was great - can't remember a better game from him. Whether he was one of the best three might be a bit of a moot point because most were very good, but I'm voting for him.
-
Like most multiple choice questions this poll should have an "all of the above" option for the boys last night. Brilliant performance
-
@canefan nah, I'm dark on ALB for last night...didnt score a try and I didnt win any money!
-
Read, Smith and Beaudy.
Could easily have given a heap more players votes in what was a superb team effort.
-
Smith Read and Reece
-
Reece had an outstanding game
-
For the first time in a while it would actually be easier to mention who had a bad game (and I am struggling to do that).

Ofa.
Gave away a stupid PK almost as soon as he came on. Scrum was noticeably weaker as well.
-
Todd wasn't great either. Yellow card and a penalty try in about 20 minutes of rugby
-
Smith. Reece. Read.
Pretty much everyone was above average except Bridge where the action all went the other way and Todd who was dire.
-
Your being hard on bridge, he does so much, watching the re play now

His work rate is his strong point, not so much his ability to beat defenders . I guess it’s a different type of 11 that we have grown accustomed to. He isn’t big brown and fast .
-
@kiwiinmelb yeah Reece is doing that strike role, bridge the extra full back organiser role

Yep they have reversed the roles to the other side of the field , it worked that way for the crusaders I guess, so they kept them in their familiar numbers .
-
I thought Bridge had a pretty handy game, always took a couple of defenders to take him down and even then he would make a few extra metres in the tackle, total metres carried was over 100, safe under the high ball and even scrapping at the breakdown on a few occassions
-
@Nevorian yes highest metres by a large margin
-
Not bagging Bridge. It was a rare game where everyone played better than their usual performance and the ball didn’t go Bridge’s way. Hardly had a mare... Todd On the other hand made SBWs cameo in the 2011 semi look stellar.

Thank the All Blacks who did the scoring instead. Wouldn't have updated the score if I hadn't been happy with it.
-
Read: Don't think I've seen a better performance from an AB Number 8. Was superb in attack and defence.
Smith: Signature performance of his career. Constantly lively and accurate. Made life very difficult for Ireland.
Third vote could have gone to lots of the players, but I gave mine to Sam Whitelock. The ultimate team man kept crashing into things all game long and never tired.

You need to watch the match again. Bridge was fine.
Read, Smith, Mo’unga (just ahead of Savea).
-
Moody : had his best ever game for the ABs
Read : back to his impressive best
Smith : best game in black for a while -
Had a decent MOTM bet on Smith and even though he went off after 60mins I thought he might have done enough...

Reckon they'd pay out on a TSF poll?

Moody looks like he may have used the month in camp to his advantage, he looked the fittest and healthiest I can recall in awhile.that week off may have done the whole squad a favour.
-
According to espn Bridge made 15 runs for 117 metres, most metres by any player, Reece had 11 for 54 but had 8 defenders beaten to Bridges 4. But combined these two young wingers were exceptional.
-
Read, A. Smith and Mo’unga.
Next best three: Whitelock, Cane, Moody
Close behind: Bridge, Savea, B. Barrett

Herald poll was similar but cant trust much there
