Coronavirus - Overall

@Tim I went into lab for the first time in 3 weeks as I had to dump 3TB of image analysis, all I have been able to do in the last month. I reached the point were my HD was full, couldn't do any more. Basically just looking at endless single molecule RNAFISH image files to make sure that Cell Profiler masked the nucleus and cytoplasm correctly so that we can count the RNA in the organoids. About as mind numbing boring as you can get, hence why it had piled up. Good data from it though.

I'm pretty sure it is a reciprocal arrangement based on the number of Cabinet members that have second homes in France.

What people don't seem to have clocked is that, rather than the Trump bro'ship assumed by LLL press, BoJo and Manu are political besties.
Both classically educated, while others rather plainly are not.

Suspected as much. Disappointingly.

Just a hunch, but the Channel Tunnel is operated on a joint basis so I'd imagine the security & bio-security procedures are common and managed pretty much as internal UK or French procedures.

I think home-working is going to have a huge boost. The idea of commuting 5 days a week could look as anachronistic in 10 years time as wearing a hat to work does now. The implications are huge for workers, business, transport companies and local communities.
It's actually hard to see the downside if business managers do their jobs properly.

Has France shut their 'other' borders?
If not, then it's another border 'non-control' debacle.

Dunno. I thought Shengen had been suspended.
Wouldn't surprise me if France & the UK had more faith in their own protocols and procedures than they have with other EU countries. There's probably far more UK/France cooperation in areas like defence and security than people realise.

Well that's that then.
