    Finally this late tackle on Kolisi by Riccitellli was disgraceful Late hit to the knee I'd ban the fluffybunny for 2 weeks

    Err ... I think you may be overstating the issue.

    @booboo Yeah, doesn't meet the red-card-threshold. Late, and arguably a shoulder charge (he doesn't seem to use his arms), but it was low, so never more than yellow. Would need to see it at full speed again to see whether it was worth a yellow.

    Really disappointed at all the niggle from the Canes when things did not go their way. Lomax was obstructive and Kirifi pushed his luck with Du Toit. They need to get their minds set on constructive rugby, and use their talented backline. Good efforts from Kirifi, Evans, Booth and Blackwell nevertheless.

    The Stormers look a threat. Nel is a real prospect at 13 and Jantjies and Willemse add spark to an awesome pack.

    @junior I've the impression that TJP tried doing too much by himself and got frustrated due to some of his team mates being invisible and underperforming. He should have kept a calm head, but I guess that's difficult if you don't have a good 10 to steer the ship.

    This is his problem, though - he's always trying to do it all himself. Sometimes it looks like he's playing a separate game to all of his teammates

    @Steven-Harris

    I'd agreed with you last year They had best pack in SR, dominated Crusaders in CT Yet they finished bottom of SA Conf

    This year, here's a list of key forwards teams have lost:

    Saders: Reid, Whitelock, Franks, Todd
    Chiefs: Retallick
    Landers: Franklin, Hemepo, L Whitelock, Squire
    Blues: LOL
    Bulls: Brits, RG Synman, Lood de Jager, Vermulean
    Sharks: Du Preez Twins, Beast, Coenie, Botha, Vermulean
    Lions: Marx, Whiteley
    Jaguares: Matera, Lavaninni

    Hence Stormers have a greater margin of error if Plan A doesn't work as their rivals are much weaker up front I can see Stormers making it to semi finals

    Jaguares & Stormers in 2 horse to win SA Conf Very contrasting sides

    The Stormers have lost Eben Etzebeth.

    Disappointed with Kirifi and Scrafton. Neither imposed themselves on the opposition, and I thought the Canes loosies in particular were invisible. Scrafton has his chance now after having made the move from the Blues, and should have grabbed it with both hands, but sadly didn't.
    Have (had) high hopes for Kirifi in another colour this season. but he really went into his shell when confronted by capable opposition.
    The pack need - well other than a bloody good rocket up the proverbial - a leader, someone who owns the responsibility and will gather the team together, hell change things up if need be. When is Coles back - he needs to stand up to the plate,
    Don't know who the answer is at 10 - but it aint Fletcher Smith, at least not right now, Maybe JGB would be a better option (other than grabbing a certain L McClutchie).
    TJP and Jordie were absolutely clueless. Again disappointing, given the positive showing of ABs in other sides. They needed to calm the side and take stock, not run around exclaining to the ref like headless chickens. A few mature, cool heads would have worked wonders.
    Lets hope they can rediscover what wearing the jersey means.

    @cgrant

    Etzsbeth is a quality player off to Toulon

    However he won't be missed for following reason:

    1. Injured last SR seasons so has missed a bunch of games
      2, Stormers have depth in 2nd row with Wiese, JD Schikerlling & Moereat

    Scrafton was in good form about two years ago but hasn't reached that standard since returning from injury last year.

    IMO last year he had his worst performances for the Blues

    Last sentence was a personal opinion

    Not a great look to have RWC winning captain getting his knees taken out 20 mins of his debut in 2020 SR

    Canes were a rabble yesterday

    Stormers away from Cape Town maybe interesting.Lets face it the Canes were so poor they may have lost to anyone on the day in fact other teams may have put 50 + on them.
    Knowing the Canes they may come back and get the win over the Jaguares would not surprise me.

    What an appalling headline and "odious" is a really offensive word to use (and I'm not even a 'canes fan).

    I'm not passing judgement based on a snippet not in real time. It looks like the sort of tackle that WR want; low.

    He was also hit in the thigh / hip area, not knees. A fraction late but as was stated - committed. So pretty good really.

    so a RWC winning captain should be treated differently to every other player out there?

    Good to know.

    I noticed it was late in real time, Ricky the Italian-Saffa-Kiwi didn't have to make the tackle. The area of the tackle was fine.

    @Nepia

    The timing of the tackle was bad enough Him targeting the knee/thigh area is what makes it a dirty hit Kolisi might be out for 6 weeks!!!

    Canes were pathetic - lots of niggle once they were getting bashed up front

    Fifita lucky not to get sent off, Procter cheap shot on Willemse I was disgusted by Canes generally in Cape Town Persistent infringements + Captain's deplorable conduct

    @macandcheese Fifita had already committed to the tackle when the stormers player was crouching so no shouldn’t have even got yellow...the Stormers players had there arms around the Canes players necks nearly every ruck
