@canefan TR JNr was sick early last week, but just treated like normal cold/flu, panadol, coldral etc...I have had a bit of a scratchy throat for a few days now, last week, meh, this week...then I wonder if should I get tested.
Probably should. Of course if you are self isolated that is a good start. Not like these flatties who travelled all over Auckland (admittedly they may have been asymptomatic). I hope they stopped moving around once they realised something wasn't right. And hopefully they weren't contagious while asymptomatic

@jk 5 cars to go. After 5 hrs
Apparently the queue is now 4 kms long. Out car park Raleigh lake Northcote and akoranga. Almost back to where it started
I reckon based on my experience that if you are just joining the end of that line you’ll be lucky to get tested today -

There are now up to 21 Delta Covid cases in Auckland - and two people are seriously unwell, the Herald understands.

What gap are people having between jabs? I booked mine 2 weeks apart but I have read six weeks apart is better. Pfizer is what I got.
Mine was 3 weeks. Now they are saying up to 8 weeks. I think they just want as many people to get at least one jab as soon as possible

@canefan hopefully they will be ok...but this is hopefully the reality check many might need.
No details on ages yet. Edit, Ashley just said age is 20s and 40s. One has underlying health issues. Both stable at moment

Sounds like case came in through MIQ from Sydney. Staff at Crowne Plaza and Jet Park almost totally vaccinated and tested. Which is good. 21 community cases, all in Auckland, 2 seriously ill.
Apparently the case got unwell, taken to Middlemore hospital, and that's the likely pathway into the community. Unlucky, but apparently the system broadly seems to have done its thing. Also, wastewater testing has not found anything serious.
PM gave a shout out to the 58 yo for being good with the app and getting a test early on the onset of symptoms. Give him a knighthood!
Pfizer vaccine available for 12-15s from 1 September. Practical measure is that a parent who is already booked earlier than 1 September can book their children at the same time, or just take them along.

Sounds like heavy traffic on vax booking system. Definitely a pat on the back for case 1 guy! Here's hoping spread is not as heavy as they fear
