Star Wars VII ****contains spoilers****

@Kiwiwomble think the spoiler function died with the last software update...
Thought it was a good ep, loads of action, mustnt have cost alot for all the extras though, with them all being Mandolorians and most wearing helmets, I mean most would do it for free anyway I expect!

I really liked a few of the first seasons episodes, a couple really weren't for me but a few were really enjoyable and novel....not constrained by canon or fitting in the same time period as all the other shows
will watch again

Finally watched the final episode
I’m going to say it….I like why they’re doing a lot, some episodes are hit and miss but over all I like it
They’re obviously decided to broaden “the mandalorian” to telling Stories of all mandalorian and I like it
Spoilers
I was genuinely concerned for grogu when the red dudes chased him into the room
I was genuinely cheering for the Mandos as they came flying back in to save them, the ridiculousness of the armourer flying into battle with a hammer and tongs was actually a great action fight scene
Interesting place to leave grogu and din, kind of feels like the “end” of a chapter, I’m wondering if we’ll have a time Jump before we see them again, might we see a more grown up version of grogu next next time ?

@Kiwiwomble yeah overall I liked it, the episodes/stories have an 80s/90s feel to them being more simplistic, where good triumphs with the cheese and a bit of ridiculousness of the era.
I think they hit the spot in terms of entertainment.

They concluded some of the other storylines (e.g., Bo-Katan uniting the clans) but left others unanswered or open (the Mythosaur, beskar on the prison transport).
Speaking of Moff Gideon, there are a few stories doing the rounds that that was a clone that died as his appearance was different (no moustache). We'll see.

Moff Gideon ( and Kylo Ren ) tried so hard as the black suited villain but as decent as they were there’s only one DV.
I’ll have to watch the final scene again, got pretty confusing with so many people jet packing around. Also it defies belief a bit that they didn’t get Dins helmet off the moment they captured him.

Beskar on the transport was answered, it was his troops and not another mandalorian clan that saved him, he gave the monologue about fitting his troopers out in beskar

Great move for the series IMO. A small group of Mandos would wipe the floor with an army of “normal” stormtroopers. I’m glad they got upgraded to the kind of troopers your average rebel would struggle with !
Those praetorian guards are ruthless and lethal, was discussing with my boys, are they a bit force sensitive or are they just extremely well trained badasses ?
Mandos kill count is bordering on ridiculous too, geez he is ruthless.

Haven't seen the latest episodes but The Mandalorian somehow reminds me of Spaghetti Westerns meets CHiPs in outer space...

Among all the faff that SW fans post on YT I found this quite interesting. The original Ep1 script.
Certainly sounds better to me. A lot of the annoying things are missing.
Setting Qui Gonn up as a major character and then killing him off.
Annoying JarJar
Young irritating Anakin
The age gap thing
...Seems to me like a lot of decisions were based around improving the merchandising opportunities
