if ive said ti once ive said ti a thousand times...Ep 1 would be significantly better if Anakin was just a little older and a bit of a street urchin rather than this angelic little kid
-
so which one of you is this? lol

Which is what they then did in Rebels with Ezra Bridger.
I could never really follow the Anakin to Vader arc. There were too many questions around why he acted as he did. Why was he such a surly fuck? What did Padme see in him? Why didn't the Jedi embrace his abilities instead of pushing him aside?
Lucas really did fuck the story up and there has had to be so much in novels, comics, animated series etc to try and fill the gaps.
Having him jump from being a hero/good guy to a child murderer so quickly was weird. -

That looks fucking hideous. So no, not me (even if I had huge numbers of imperial credits to throw around).

Growing up as a slave for an ugly pot bellied sleazy arabic looking flying gambling addict alien would piss anyone off.
Chicks like moody blokes.
The Jedi were very set in the “indoctrine padawans from a young age” train of thought. Very stuck in their ways ( which is why Qui Gonn never made the council, too much of a maverick ) Anakin was quite old by the time they met him.
As for your last point he was fucked off at their outdated ways and Palpatine offered him a way that seemed way cooler. The tension between him and Mace Windu had been simmering for quite awhile and to see him ( Windu ) about to execute Palpatine was too much. From there killing the Younglings seemed the only sensible thing.
The problem isn’t with Lucas, it’s with you.

Gee, and I always thought it had something to do with sand.

By "In chaos" does she mean "mostly dead?". Weren't we led to believe the Jedi we're all but wiped out after Order 66? The main SW trilogy story arc is so bad. Best stick with more series of Andor, Mandalorian etc. Ashoka should be good too

@MN5 …but he was angelic when he was a slave…and then became an arsehole when he was given the world
Yeah that’s a pretty good point to be fair.
( although I won’t agree @Crucial is right that would go against my fern programming )

so, crook with the flu and so binged the whole season of Visions, like the first season hits and misses but shows they have access to unique stories
over the two seasons i enjoyed the ones that kind of had rouge Sith/darksiders just roaming the universe being evil, i like the rules of two thing but in reality you dont know there isn;t another two out there somewhere
I thinks they could really do something different with a movie, start small following a roaming force user/pair on some minor adventure..sensing and hunting a holocron so we get a bit of adventure movie...final scene shows them igniting red sabers to save them selves...they'd been avoiding using them and declaring themselves...end the movie having been cheering for these two only to find they're the "bad guys"....would be a hell of a way to set up a sequel where we see its a sith empire that was tracking them...and only in the sequal do we meet the jedi/republic that have been waging a war against a sith empire and both are tracking these two who might be able to turn the tide of the war for the sith or take over from the ksith currently in charge...i'd watch it

Not specifically SW related but a cool story about the guy who would become Han Solo.
I love how grumpy Ford is, mainly about Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and Blade Runner. He has bitten the heads off nerds asking lots of nerdy questions about the franchises……yet he’s happy to get back in there for sequels to all three decades after the originals and keep raking in the $$. What a legend !

@MN5 Nice story, shame about the bits missed out
Lucas directed Ford in American Graffiti 4 years before SW.
So while he did wait out a bigger role by hanging around doing carpentry, the bit about "a carpentry job could lead to an acting job" while true from a certain point of view is a bit misleading.
