Shhhh. Not sure if anybody’s noticed but in the last couple hours AP, Politico, The Hill and others are reporting that the FBI has begun a new investigation into the Clinton Foundation...

This book’s contents, true or not, are coming online and you think most of us give a fuck about the Clintons? Man, you really have got it bad haven’t you?

But isn't this the very same corrupt FBI that are supposedly all left leaning anti-Trumpers on a witch hunt? Surely it will just be a cover up.
Remove all of the whataboutery from Trump supporters and his own behaviour has little to hide behind.

Swamp is getting drained. There’s a new administration in town. A new Justice Dept. Comey will likely be fitted for an orange jumpsuit by the time this all shakes out too. He leaked classified documents for political purposes. He’s admitted as much on the record. It will be interesting to see how tightly his FBI squeezes him.

Jesus, somebody sure is hyper-sensitive today. I didn’t mention a single opinion. Whatsoever. I posted a breaking news report. Nothing more. That makes you angry? Trump Derangement Syndrome is going berserk, just as the Rooskies-stole-my-election hoax is evaporating and the manufacturers of that hoax get their moment in the spotlight. It tickles and amuses me to no end how tightly this winds some people up.
FusionGPS is another breaking story sure to rip the hearts out of some libs. Apologies in-advance if it is another distraction from Michael Wolff’s blockbuster.

Ok.... so according to some of you a new FBI investigation into a major political figure is not news worthy of this thread. But a gossip book is.
Wow

Who’s angry? I just know a popcorn moment when I see it and this is one. I just don’t give a rats arse about either of the Clinton’s or their shifty foundation. They’re yesterday’s news and you might as well be directing my attention towards Shirley MacLaine or Lillian Gish. But Pres Trump is today’s news and I’m certainly interested in how he handles something like this book. The book itself is irrelevant by the way, it’s Trump’s reaction, and that of the US establishment and media, that has me interested. It has the potential to go all Coriolanus, or at least Tywin dying on the dunny.
For the record, I’m seldom angry, and never because of a politician in a country that doesn’t govern me. I don’t have Trump Derangement Syndrome, because I don’t care enough about him (BTW I do wonder if the term can be more appropriately applied to someone who constantly white-knights a man who we all hoped would be the Sachin Tendulkar of politics but turns out to be the David Watson instead).
I also don’t care one way or the other about the “Rooskies” (very droll as usual); if a country with pretensions to being the guardian of democracy can’t guarantee the integrity of its elections that would be as surprising as it would be ironic.

I find it interesting that some people completely and utterly compartmentalise this whole issue. The retarded use of the phrase 'whataboutery' is a usually a red flag that someone is so partisan and blinkered that looking at anything beyond what they think is the issue is beyond them.
I am interested in the whole saga, the Mueller investigation, Trumps administrative disfunction, the Clinton foundation, the bias and skulduggery at the DOJ and FBI under Obama, the Republican resistance, the Democrat resistance, ANTIFA .
All of it. They are all linked and relevant. The questions of why the Mueller probe started is incredibly relevant, and Clintons and the Clinton foundation are involved with that. You have a situation where congress investigations are getting stonewalled in the inquiries. Why? Under what justification.
The FISA warrant that was used to take down Flynn and kick off the investigation was based on what? Many people think the fake dossier... paid for by the DNC.. controlled by the Clinton campaign. hell yes. Is congress investigating that? Yes and very seriously.
Flynn got busted lying during an interview during in which he was not told it was an official interview, without a lawyer and with an agent with an extreme hatred of Trump and who has since been removed and shunted to HR.
Clinton aides also lied, but got immunity. A recommendation letter to not prosecute was drafted BEFORE any interviews of Clinton and her aides were conducted.
All this stinks to high heaven and is at the heart of the current Mueller probe. These things are all linked, no matter how desperately some might wish it were different. -

Nope. I think it is all relevant, and all linked.

All very well to be interested in all aspects. The whataboutery comment was directed at those that continually keep looking at some aspects to deflect from others.
I’ve never claimed the Clintons as clean. I stated way back pre election that HC was only a better choice than Trump because Trump was an idiot.
Now I focus on the idiot as he is the one in power. -

Now I focus on the idiot as he is the one in power. It is not about the Clintons being clean or not. It is about the lead up and history behind the current probe and the impact on the validity on any findings.
To claim that the Clintons are not relevant to the current probe is either ignorant or stupid. (note - you havent said they are not relevant) -

Is Trump still an idiot though?..a meany, a bully, crass, offensive etc I could get on board with, but surely the idiot ship has sailed which what he has achieved in the last 2 years.
The fact actual important news get buried beneath a gossip book is more indicative

Yep, always found that odd. Totally buy he's an appalling human being and monumental bullshit artist, but an idiot? If he's an idiot what does that say about the geniuses screaming at the sky and walking around with rubber vaginas on their heads?

More amusing is the unsaid assumption from some that an appalling human being and bullshit artist is nit a common trait in politicians.

Trump has successfully continued a long running trend in the US Labor Maket. Staff around Trump changed their tune completely on what the figures meant before and after his inauguration, but that’s politics...
But we were told the economy would collapse.
Job Totals is one stat, but wages are also up as job growth is slowing due to approaching full employment.
