Biden's staggering incompetence is something to behold.
The dude never takes questions - just turns and walks off.The worst thing is, It's possible he'll hand Trump another term.
Although he is kinder than Trump. - ha ha
He is. Trump was/is definitely the worst blowhard, narcissist, liar. misogynist etc. in US history. We know this to be true as so many learned people in the press and elsewhere told us so....

Republicans have been hard at work twisting the landscape to their advantage and are a very good chance in the main game
It should be noted both parties do this.
Yep. She’s one weird system is the great American Democracy.
It's not just the political system, it's the media as well.
Whether it's CNN simply making up anti-Trump conspiracy theories or newspapers refusing to report information on the Wuhan Lab leak theory as it might be seen to support Trump, or Fox News, they are equal causes of the mess.

Whilst I understand and to some degree accept your point about media and Trump, I wouldn't be dying on a hill defending his personality traits. His lack of class and dignity is pretty astounding and still has the ability to surprise me after all this time :

Oh, I wouldn't defend Trump any more than I'd defend Obama or Biden
I was pointing out in an oblique way that his opponents and most of media - with their confected rage and virtue - played exactly the same divisive games as Trump did and have caused equal damage to US politics.

Read some interesting comments that apparently Mitch McConnell is worried that Trump's continued harping about the last election is not only missing the key messages that should be making the most of Biden's low approval rates but is actively telling Republican voters that their votes aren't worth casting.

Trump is apparently launching a new social media company.
Truth Social.
Isn't it TRUTH Social? But mere mortals aren't allowed to use all caps?

This kind of stuff wins him no friends. (though it is funny)
He's playing to his core audience (which is a bit cult-like) and needs to keep them happy - I don't think he's interested in appealing to sensible people.
Perhaps his strategy is thinking people will be so pissed off with Biden and co. in 2024 they'll simply vote him out rather than positively vote for Trump. Worked for Biden in 2020.

Sadly that seems to be the way in the US, for a few years now.

Sadly, you may be right and the division may get deeper and more bitter still, until wiser heads in the Democrats and Republicans prevail.

Unfortunately I don't believe so.

REUTERS FACT CHECK:
U.S. President Joe Biden's hand gesture at a CNN town hall in Baltimore did not indicate white power, contrary to claims on social media. He made the hand gesture while saying corporations pay “zero cents”, in response to a question about tax rates

This is good investigative journalism, and there are serious unanswered questions here.
Meet Ray Epps: The Fed-Protected Provocateur Who Appears To Have Led The Very First 1/6 Attack On The U.S. Capitol
[…O]n January 8, 2021, the FBI begged the public for information regarding the identity of Suspect 16, Ray Epps, and even offered a cash reward.
The public obliged, and in less than three days, Ray Epps was identified as Suspect 16. Researchers corroborated his identity with troves of unassailable direct evidence, including an effective confession from Epps himself to his own local newspaper.
Then, for nearly six months, amidst the biggest manhunt in American history, the FBI did nothing with this information. As the FBI did nothing on Epps, it was simultaneously investigating, arresting, raiding and imprisoning hundreds of completely benign MAGA moms and social media trolls — mostly for minor misdemeanor trespassing charges.
Then, on July 1, between the hours of 3:37 a.m. and 5:55 p.m., the FBI finally took action on Ray Epps. But not to prosecute him, or to announce a sweeping investigation or FBI SWAT raid on Epps’s house for all of his phones and electronics. Instead, someone at the FBI quietly and stealthily purged every trace of Ray Epps from the Capitol Riots Most Wanted database. […]
This part is especially suspicious:
“… the very first breach of the Capitol’s police barricades at 12:50pm on January 6. Epps appears to have led the “breach team” that committed the very first illegal acts on that fateful day. What’s more, Epps and his “breach team” did all their dirty work with 10 minutes still remaining in President Trump’s National Mall speech, and with the vast majority of Trump supporters still 30 minutes away from the Capitol.”
-
@kid-chocolate I heard about this but I have kind of tuned politics out. My confidence that any thing would happen to this guy has waned. Up is down. Down is up these days.
-
The delicious irony is that it’s not MAGA bots who outed this guy, it was the leftists and antifa detectives that were digging and doxxing.
“… Further, the searchable Justive.Gov Capitol Breach Cases database confirms there are no case dockets or filings for any “Epps” at all.
To anyone checking the January 6 FBI Most Wanted List today, “Suspect 16” is just a ghost. Only obsessive, fastidious Wayback Machine users spending hours pouring through archived screenshots could ever forensically confirm Ray Epps was ever really a Wanted Man.
The question then arises: what prompted the FBI’s six-month slumber on Epps, and then their sudden purger on July 1? …”
The FBI has a lot of explaining to do.
