Kicks off tonight (Hurricanes v Sixers)

Just a couple of kiwis in the squads this season:

    • Adam Milne (Thunder)
    • Colin Munro (Scorchers)

Cripes, how did Milne get a contract? The guy is always injured.

Great to see Milne still playing, (employed). Got a soft spot for those tearaway quicks that keep battling injuries. So much rehab for a body movement that's all kinds of damaging

That kid was exciting and bloody useful when he was fit.

I always thought he just got picked because he could bowl "fast" and that he actually wasn't very good. His international and domestic records are pretty underwhelming:

Are they piping in crowd applause and noise?

Either that or the Hobart crowd are all politely clapping the opposition hitting singles 🤔 - something they've never done before

Good win for Hobart. Their bowling attack looks very handy

@mariner4life that Meredith bloke slinging them down at 150 was a double-edged sword (Vincent leading edge into fine leg) but jeez you'd be putting a slip in every time.

I missed the end as I'm old and had too many beers at a work function yesterday, leaving just at the point Pink Sydney went from "cruising home" to "shit the bed"

Coulter-Nile 4-10 off his 4. And this game is pretty one sided

oh the Heat, a choke job of epic epic proportions

    Post a decent total? check
Get the chasing side 3 down almost instantly? check
Keep the run rate down so the end is tough? check

The Thunder needed 24 off the last 2 overs. Not impossible, but still pretty hard to do

They got home with 7 balls to spare

    the 19th over was 6 (NB) . . 6 6 6

Game was lost (somewhat) due to terrible decisions in the middle of the game.

Steketee batting the last 3 balls of the innings should never have happened with Pierson at the other end. No attempt from Pierson to run the bye.

Kuhnneman bowling the second over against two excellent players of spin should never have happened when Wildermuth had just taken 2 for 1 and they had another excellent seam bowler in Steketee or even Laughlin.

Yeah they (or more accurately Laughlin) choked, but they gave plenty away before that point that would have made an enormous difference in the latter stages of the game. And it was nothing to do with talent - purely decision-making.

Did you see that the run out in the Hurricanes game made the US Sportscenter Top 10 plays of the day - made number 4.
