What they should do is play this at sporting events, I reckon it’d really go off.

@majorrage Yeah that one takes the cake.
In the mid 00s I interviewed for a job in Melbourne, my on and off gf came over from California to visit, we were walking around near docklands after dinner and I started on some bullshit about how "there's actually a pretty cool art and music scene here", then that fucking song started blasting from a bar, and we both cracked up.
-
Fuck you and your awful song, Proclaimers.
I remember going to a vineyard in the Hawkes Bay a couple of years back, the posters were still up as Scotlands most famous singing twins had done a tour recently. I spoke to staff and apparently the concert was TWO AND A HALF HOURS LONG……three encores…..which of course concluded with this song.
Just cos you might know it word for word does NOT make it a good song.
-
The time I actually gave a crap about the music charts was from about 1991 to 1999.
The songs that pissed me off the most were:
The Fly-U2
High-The Cure
Anything by Frente (holy fůck)
Groove is in the Heart - Some bint and a Japanese dude
Push the Little Daisies -WeenI'm sure there are many more to be added. I see Pearl Jam are mentioned. Their song Bugs is so fucking shit.
-
This is the worst thing I've ever heard

Hanging out at the Loaded Hog back in the mid 90s, if this song came on the floor it made me want to throw a chair
Incredibly enough they're Swedish. Bizarre shit.

Watched this doco on Netflix a while back, on the Swedish influence on mainstream music and in particular US music. https://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nation/this-is-pop-netflix-everything-we-learned

Haven't read the thread and am not going to post the video but for some reason "The Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing drags the will to live from me.
Dont know how to describe it better than that, but I equate it to drinking merlot (and you might have noticed that I enjoy a red), which just, for some reason, drags energy out of me and just leaves me feeling meeh. Can't describe it.
World would be better without this song.

Lene ( yes I remember her name sadly ) is still hot but the bald gimp was a talentless fuck. Who the hell gave these guys a record contract ?
Actually I got drunk with the band in Auckland in I think it was called judder bar at the time, they were actually a failed punk band and tried something stupid and had a hit with it, so continued. Really funny and not all the story can be posted from that night. However they still suck music wise though

There was a lot of shit in the grunge era, but this was the most mawkish, and nakedly striving to be sensitive and deep - pure retarded adolescence. Vedder was very cringe, and this was a song he wrote before joining Pearl Jam.
Not my hatiest. You grungers from the 90s may have listened to this a few more times than me though.
Edit: bloody autocorrect

The Green Day song is far, far worse.
Nup. This song makes me feel physically ill.

You are correct. Original was better, without the OOH, AHH. It was used in Dirty Dancing (but don't hold that against it)

@mn5 … These are just the run of the mill garbage. I’m in two minds as to whether I should pollute this thread with some absolute arse cankers, because once you know they exist there’s no way back. Ah, fuck it. Here’s goes, hold your nose.
- This is inexcusable.
Shit version no doubt, but on that same performance on The Tube he knocked these two belters out of the park
Saw him years later in Shrewsbury.
Tiny venue, Castle Vaults or something like that.
Middle aged women chucking their knickers at him.
One of the best live voices I've heard.
