    @duluth

    Hopefully he can turn it around as he could be a good depth option.

    @Bovidae cheers, I remember him being sent to Club rugby a bit too and I'm sure we were bitching for a while as he was available but completely unseen.

    Talk of record scores and a B team being rolled out is a little unsettling given we haven’t exactly been on top of our game in the first two games. We are still building and just hoping to see our 9-10 combo work a little better with hopefully a bit more space to exploit.

    @Duluth 96-19 vs the Tahs, one of the great occasions in rugby history 😎

    Blackadder back and Taylor,Hall and RM on the bench balance out the changes a bit.

    Was he injured or unfit? Often TTT was sent back to play Rotorua club rugby, but sometimes didn't play.

    Given that Ratima was signed early, the Chiefs clearly didn't want him.

    I think that the rumours (and I stress 'rumours') were that after making the ABs there was a wee bit of entitlement then he got pissed off about the corrective measures taken to shrink his head.

    That story seems to put a bit of creedence into him not really getting on with the coaches post something happening. I'm glad that they have helped him find a way forward though. We need a 'closer' halfback at the ABs (like the role TKB used to play)

    @bovidae We noticed the same thing for BOP as happened with the Chiefs. He seemed to slow down a fair bit, so was delayed arriving at breakdown, and then took time appraising options, which lead to inaccuracies in passing and kicking. We concluded that a fitness problem or injury had flowed on to his decisiveness and accuracy. But, he did get the flow back in his game at times. So, a new environment might lift him back to his full capability.

    Fainga'anuku and Jager are injured. Punivai and Newell will start.

    Abraham Pole and Inga Finau will be on the bench

    This won't be a contest but it'll be interesting to see how the Crusaders decide to play.

    Last year in SR TT the Crusaders played fluffy rugby, going wide as quickly as possible etc. Sure they didn't lose to the Aussies but they got themselves into awkward situations against lesser sides.

    The value of Mounga over Hickey is stark.

    Not his fault his teammates weren't there to take advantage of the opportunity he set up.

    Crusaders attack looks clunky so far. To be expected with the 9-10 I suppose.

    Did I miss the rule change where we made it legal to stick the ball in the 2nd row at scrums?

    How is it a 'really poor decision'? He clearly propped himself with a hand on the ground. Clueless commentary again.
