Kind of a weird post from the landers, i assume its because those pics are from a game against the Reds but you hardly see the Reds in it and its two players we dont have anymore

dont know if your taking the piss as thats a minority opinion...but...i wasn't actually worried when they said Green would be our new home colours, would have made us unique, not all the green jerseys were "good"...but some were...and we've had some pretty average/generic blue jerseys over the years

pretty happy except the wings, i like gilbert in general but he got showed up on defence on the wing, he's a 15 and gregory is "Bridge light", just no punch on the wing

@Kiwiwomble yeah for me, Gregory plays 12, or not at all, that said, his form is such that he probably shouldnt play at all...seems a few players in that team that are undroppable, although I guess injuries and squad depth is an issue.

@taniwharugby exactly, Banks is similar for me, him coming off the bench isn;t going going to turn a game around, so he either starts as the "safe" options, kick for the corner, take 3 points when on offer...or not in the squad

I can't understand continuing to select Gregory on the wing. Seems it is a safe selection and prioritising defence down that corridor. The team needs to score tries. I'd prefer dropping Paea, putting Gregory at 12 and Dawai on the wing.

@Kiwiwomble would be nice to have Renton in place of Lentjes too (you know, someone who actually makes a positive impact instead of hangs on to the game by the skin of his teeth and throws in the occasional clanger). Then Lentjes comes on when Smith goes off, to take over the captaincy.

I deadset have the minority opinion. Those were choice shirts and separated the team from every team that couldn’t go past Blue but weren’t actually named ‘the Blues’.

I'm there with you, absolutely love the green jersey. Especially when we had Lomax charging it up.

I didn't like the green initially, but it grew on me.
Agree that and the Maroon are good - the green is striking, but not traditional (yet). Was looking at the terrible jerseys that get put out and thinking that just because you can do anything on a jersey now in terms of design, that doesn't mean you should.

Highlanders are going to find it hard to overcome the home town reffing. Reds defence clearly offside, no call.
