Hes not so bad. Leader of an impressive forward display

    Agree. But....

    The guy's a grub.
Constant after-the-ball stuff. Shoving, mouthing off, just... being a dick.
“Oh... you want the game to be tiddly-winks!”
No. I want to be able to have a beer with my opponent after the match.

    118kg

Doesn't pass the eye test. If he's as big as his peers he sure holds it a lot better.

When he collided with O Franks in that first half I was actually thinking Numia looked about the same size. Maybe it was just the angle.

Hopefully Numia can take that form into Super Rugby next year.

Good work Lions well deserved, Canterbury set piece got shut down in the 2nd half. And Foster more or less .picked their entire tight 5 just goes to show better players missed out.
Canterbury fucken chocked when it mattered.the most.

I wouldn't call that a Canterbury choke. Wellington played bloody well and Canterbury played as expected. Canterbury just didn't have the fire-power in the backs to create anything when Wellington got on top in the forwards. The signs have been there all season for the Cantabs.

He is still Crusaders defence coach and is tipped for a bigger role,
    In 2024 when Razor goes.

@number9 2nd time this year a squad has been named prior to a final and a team with several players in the squad failed to fire in the final at home after being smothered up front.

Looks that way doesn't it Ber? Just out of interest who remembers the AB's ad Tamati was on when he just a kid?

Have to say I know I been on his wagon for a while, but I have to repeat, the more I see of Riley Higgins the more I like. I thought Canterbury may of targeted him last night, but not only his attacks etc looks ok, was impressed with his defence last night...... and workrate, always looking to get into a good position it seemed to me.

Wellington's forwards look well coached, Hurricanes fans must be sad Paul Tito isn't in their coaching group.

The Canes need to get Ellison back. Apparently he lead the defence this year and that was the catalyst for our title run.

    Tito is highly rated.

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/126370047/super-rugby-kiwi-coaches-paul-tito-and-mark-ozich-lured-to-western-force

Tito, 43, was on Taranaki's coaching saff from 2014 to 2016, achieving Ranfurly Shield success and National Provincial Championship (NPC) premiership and championship honours.

He spent three years as forwards coach at French club Pau until returning to Taranaki after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tito was the Chiefs' under-20s head coach in 2021.

Lewis - a former Ta$man Mako chief executive who took the Force job this year - said Tito’s experience would bolster the Force coaching team.

"He is a coach with a winning mentality, but importantly has a wealth of international experience both as a player and coach.

    Taranaki forwards 2014-16 & 2021, Pau 2017-2020, Wellington 2022.

He was forwards coach for us last year also. I heard a rumour last year the Canes offered him a role but the Force tripled it so he went.

Crowley said he was disappointed that more didn't make the AB 15. The one name he mentioned was Billy Proctor. Not say Kirifi or Numia. Another coach who seems to really rate Proctor. I've been a lot more impressed with him this NPC. Still young though

He’s a rock on defence. He did a lot of tackling tonight. Higgins and Proctor could be a fantastic pairing going forward. They seem to compliment each other nicely.

On Riley Higgins, he looks so composed at such a young age. I’d already have him above PUJ, he’s got the skills plus the size to get over the advantage line. Seems to be made for the big matches aswell.

Will be interesting to see what the Canes do there with Barrett coming into 12for the ABs. Higgins might have to spend some time on the bench.

As much as I supported PUJ since he left school I feel like he should make a career shift to the Highlanders. Wouldn’t begrudge him for leaving at all.

As much as we are both Wainui boys and like you I’ve also supported him I think he should most definitely go to the Landers he’d be a better option then Gregory I feel.

I’m a EB/Petone boy haha. But yeah, I agree he’s definitely a shit tone better than Gregory.
