    Good effort from head

You have to catch that surely.

Yep but according to Tubs Taylor "he's not a natural catcher" 🙄

What the hell ???? Shouldn’t that be the most natural thing a person can do ?

    Intriguing test.

Warner to get 200, Australia all out for just under 600.

    Bold prediction...

By his facial expressions, Smith is a terrible judge of whether LBW shouts against him are even remotely valid 🙂

Great celebration by Khawaja for his ton. That one really meant something to him.

All I came here to say is, how is that fluffybunny out there in a thick knit vest?

Yeah he is a bit of a passenger these days aside from that 200 he got against SA.There on reputation alone.

Great for team moral though, popular bloke.

Probably still felt like a spring day in Australia to a cold blooded fellow like himself

Interesting to see how much of a lead Australia can get, if any. Depends on how much support the ‘Waj” gets.

Massive hats off to Anderson and Broad for continuing to slog away. Two very good bowlers with absolutely incredible longevity.

Didn’t see much of day 2. Looks like a bit of spin on the highlights? Might be a big factor in the 4th innings?

Dropped catches, a missed stumping and lots of no balls. England missed their chances on the afternoon of Dsy 2 and have squandered whatever advantage they had in this Test. It's still going to be hard-fought but Australia in the ascendancy heading into Day 3.

    @sparky

From what I saw, Stokes over-bowled himself. He seemed to have no rhythm at all.

@Catogrande He got the Smith wicket but was poor apart from that. England will need more out of Robinson and Anderson.

Australia will have to bowl a lot smarter with the new ball. Hopefully they learned something in the first innings.

On reflection, leaving Starc out was the right decision - he isn't consistent enough for this type of pitch.

Massive luxury leaving a player of his class out, it’s like the Black Caps leaving Wags out.

    Oh……

Not much between these teams, but Australia have the luxury of rotating the squad a bit.

You reckon ? I think Australia are far better man for man but England are playing some seriously inspired cricket under McCullum.

    Moeen Ali got a fine

Ali was found to have breached Article 2.20 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to displaying conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game.

In addition to this, one demerit point has been added to Ali’s disciplinary record, for whom it was the first offence in a 24-month period.

The incident occurred in the 89th over of Australia’s innings, when Ali sprayed a drying agent on his bowling hand at the boundary line before coming on to bowl the next over, thus defying the umpires’ pre-series instructions about not using anything on their hands without prior approval.
