    Poll closes automatically at kickoff

All RWC voting is being counted in a half arsed tipping competition.

1 point for correct result, 3 points for a correct result and margin. No points for a draw

I think the hardest match to pick. Both have the ability to play out of their skins and with pace, but both have shown in recent couple of years how to implode within the 80 minutes. Heart says Wales, but I think Argentina will win by 3 points

Argentina look to have got some of their attacking mojo back against Japan.

@Bovidae The tries looked like they came from weak tackling, something the Welsh aren't too bad at.

Yeah, unless Japan gave Argentina their mojo back, Wales should cruise this.

Wales will take this is my prediction.
Gatland and Wales know how to play knock-out games.

We've done well during the group stages but if Argentina can play anywhere close to their potential they'll win this game.
It's only a little over 12 months since they won in NZ. Which is something Wales have never managed.
I know that's not a true gauge of current form but it shows that if they click they're a handful for anyone.
Personally I hope they're as hopeless as they were against England again. 😁

I can’t stand all that “hemisphere” shit. I don’t see any relevance to it and I hate how Poms will get on bandwagons about it.

Especially now that all of the NH power nations have almost as many NZers and PI players in their squads as home grown players...

I assume you object to it because its coming from the North for a change, its long been the boast of NZ, SA and Aus (less so in the last 20 years) that the NH is inferior and the WC proves it. To be fair, it has. The shoe being on the other foot in terms of rankings really seems to rankle.

I can't speak for others but I grew up respecting France and Wales. The Welsh didn't win very much when I was young but they had genuine passion. The French would turn rugby into an art form, we just never knew when. I never understood hemisphere quibbles/boasts and I didn't really see much evidence of it from NZ but I did think there was an apparent European bias of the governing body.

You assume wrong. I don’t support SA, Australia or Argentina more than any other team just cos they’re geographically closer than the Northern Hemisphere. It irks me both ways.

If anything due to my extremely Celtic heritage I’d support the north but Scotland being shite and Ireland being piston wristed gibbons makes this somewhat tough.

I will agree with Dodge that for some years those down under (they don't say that in S. Africa do they?) SH rugby competitions were superior to the 5N/6N in quality/attractiveness. Not such a popular view recently.
