@jegga to be fair maybe she hasn't named half her kids fathers because it's too hard to narrow down the likely suspects from the long list of possibilities

She is 33 and has 10 fucking kids? Um, if I was a guy anywhere in her vicinity, I'd be insisting on DNA tests. She's a feral. Somebody rescue those poor babies.
"[Work and Income] expect us to better ourselves but then put us in this predicament. This sanction is hanging over my head."
No, honey. You put yourself in this predicament. And of course the government expect you to better yourself, they arent there to fund you pumping out kids cos you can't be bothered going on the pill or getting an injection.
Fuck, articles like this piss me off. TEN FUCKING KIDS ON THE BENEFIT.
The only reason for the father not to be named is if there is legal implications eg a restraining order, or domestic violence situation, or the kid is a result of sexual assault.
-
Auckland woman Stephanie, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, can't prove the father of five of her 10 children
the interesting thing there is, if she chose to name some guy, not only is he then required to pay child support, but the poor schmuck then has to get DNA tests to prove he isnt the father (if he isnt)
So if she cant prove who the father is, there must be a number of suspects/suckers that she cant even narrow it down.
-
So many things in that article pissed me off, but another aspect is that stupid woman in it saying the policy is sexist and racist. No, it is not. It's simple economics. Why would the government want to shell out for child support if the father is known?
A WINZ person said there are provisions for the factors I mentioned above, and you can apply for an exemption.
-
Farking Turei saying she didn't name the father of her daughter to protect him from "WINZ harassing him". Harassing? Seriously, telling someone they have to take responsibilty for their own kid is harassment?

I didn't even need to see the author of this post to know who it was! A reasoned rant - great stuff!

@Catogrande Ha! Thank you. I think.
This topic always winds me up. I think of single working mums who do their very best for their kids and ask for nothing more than what the law entitles them to - paid leave, tax credits, working for families, paid parental leave etc. But the DPB or whatever it is called nowadays seems to be wide open for exploitation. And I simply don't agree that those receiving it should be allowed the personal freedom to keep having kids they can't care for, all while expecting the state to hand over more money. It's a shit situation for the poor kids, and they've done nothing to deserve it. And the feral clearly has no remorse for her life choices, or any intention of stopping what she is doing. She just wants more benefit.

I'm not that worked up about Stephanie of Auckland, 33, mother of ten, collector of bennies, non-discloser of names.
I received my letter from the government last year confirming that all of my tax dollars are going towards underfloor heating in the cell of insane slap-headed double murderer Graeme Burton at Rimutaka Prison. So at least I'm not paying Stephanie's bennies myself.

It would be interesting, if she ever got in government, to see how Turei would treat the WINZ / Ministry of Social Development staff. She is describing staff behaviour as harassment, when they are simply doing their job (as @No-Quarter has noted) and trying to prevent benefit fraud or claw some cash back for the long suffering taxpayer.
Fuck Turei is a muppet, a deadweight. She already has the poverty action groups doing her barking for her, so why she needs to weigh in is a mystery. Only the most devout Marxist would agree with Turei on this, so on voter numbers, how does this help her politically by broadening her appeal?
I'd like to know which person put Stephanie's name forward to be the poster girl for this so-called injustice. Is she a friend of Turei, or the the poverty lobby, or some staffer at the Ferald? The only thing I can be sure of is that Stephanie is currently sucking back pre-mixed bourbon and cola right now.

I'd be wary of those stories , back in 2005 there were headlines about prison cells having underfloor heating, big screen TVs and lazy boys . When I read further down the article it was actually the self care units I was helping build which didn't have underfloor heating , they had underfloor insulation, the last new tube TVs I ever saw and crap warehouse furniture.

It's a Ferald thing to publish these stories, they do it all the time . Who could forget this one?
