It doesn't say what caused it. Anyone recall an incident?

I remember a big Highlander forward taking a flying somersault leap at his head....
-

Put his head gear on too fast?

He must be the most fragile player in super rugby. Shame as he's in top form. -

Well Treason did suggest he shoulda copped a ban for his actions...
-

Chiefs don't have much luck with very good centres do they?

Nuts, but glad it is for this game as we have:

Rebels Home - We should win

Tahs Away - Tough

Crusaders home - Tough

Reds away - We should win

I wonder if Rennie is doubting the wisdom of playing that Crusaders' game in Fiji?

With Nadolo, Macilai and Volavola in the Crusaders' squad I reckon we'll have a decent portion of the crowd on our side.
-

It wasn't Rennies choice was it??

Nope. The Chiefs must have received a deal they couldn't refuse (made easier to accept because of the Wales game). Both teams only get a % of the ticket sales, but the Chiefs receive more as it's a "home" game.
-

A warm dry evening in a tropical winter instead of a wet, foggy or dewy Hamilton. Sounds like a good fit for the Chiefs to throw it around against an AB's forward pack fresh off three test matches.

I'm ever-hopeful that Toddy, having done an excellent job of managing his AB forwards' workloads, will have that favour returned by Hansen - i.e that Steve won't thrash the shit out of Franks, Whitelock and Read in particular.
-

He's already done the job 9 times - he can be rested for the game we lose so that he's not "the first since 1953".
-
Crusaders' front row better watch out. Noted scrum expert Ross Karl of newshub sport came down to Hamilton and officially announced our scrum had gotten better.
