The NZRU and the Hurricanes through to 2019. A couple of French clubs were offering to make Beauden Barrett the best paid player in the world. But he ignored their cash to stay wearing the Black and Hurricanes Jerseys.

Great words from Beauden. And great to think Hansen thinks BB can become an even better player.

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/83668407/live-beauden-barrett-resigns-with-nz-rugby

Stoked that one of the best players in the world is staying with the Hurricanes and the All Blacks. Excellent work by Steve Tew.

Great example of a guy taking it to the next level - he was good previously, but this year he has been Bloody Good.

Lot of raw talent, converted into consistency through the right attitude in the right systems.

Brilliant player and seems like a lovely young man as well. It's been an absolute pleasure watch him develop at the Canes.

(Pat self on back) I did call him the next Dan Carter back in 2014 so his rise is no surprise to me whatsoever.

With Beauden Barrett playing First Five for ABs and Jordie Barrett looking the most exciting young talent in the Mitre 10 cup, who'd have thought Smiley Barrett's sperm would be so valuable to NZ Rugby.

http://trfu.co.nz/trfu/centurions/kevin-barrett/

I am reminded of Sir JK saying BB should come to AK because his girlfriend would like the shopping, and by being the Blues 1st 5 he'd have a good chance of winning his first Super title which would mean he'd be first choice AB 1st 5.

When I look at Smiley and then I look at the Barrett boys I actually wonder how he managed to mate with himself - it's like they're all clones.

If they had human stud farms, Pappa Barrett would be the human version of Zabeel.

If this was China, Barrett senior would be let loose on all our top retiring female athletes.

So when is Sopoaga off contract? He'll do for some more "signing for the Blues" rumours.

Hes really stepped up but only in the 2nd half of this year.In the first he was good but during the Welsh series and since he has been outstanding. In the 2015 final he was outplayed by Sopoaga. Now he has had MOTM performances right through. The big change has been his decision making. From why didn't be kick to always getting it right on. And improved kicking too.
