I would like to think that if this happened with the Nats, John Key was very good at cutting out the poison straight away

@Paekakboyz No

@jegga I'm finding it really hard to believe she didn't know anything. So she's either lying, or there are giant communication abysses within the party. Both make her look bad. (Also boo farking hoo to the difficult position blah blah. She is PM. Not to mention it's not anywhere near as difficult as the position those complainants were in.)
-
@Mokey yeah that interview this morning on Breakfast was odd, if she knew nothing, then she is not a leader, should not be in charge of Labour, let alone running NZ, if she did know and did nothing, she is an even bugger idiot...

She isn't a leader, she is a figurehead. She became PM out of nowhere/ labour caucus after a whirlwind 6 weeks. I don't think a second that she is in control the way Clark or Key were. She swans around while shadow figures do the real work in the background. That doesn't mean to say she didn't know about this though

She said she didn’t know about the summer camp either . I don’t believe her either.

the way she spoke about it, I dont think the people dealing with it inside Labour were shielding her and giving her deniability, she claims to have asked specific questions about it.
Unsurprisingly, something doesnt add up.

It’s says a lot that most of the coverage is coming from new media and the msm are only covering it in the most grudging way possible.
Yeah, it's an absolute scandal and there's hardly a story on the main media sites. I have completely given up on them as well as the 6 o'clock news, mainstream media is in a very sorry state these days.

@No-Quarter seven stories on Herald site (plus an update on poor Millie) RNZ have been over it for weeks. Never read Stuff or watch TV but yes in general MSM are reacting to the story breaking elsewhere
-
Reminds me of the old "joke" (that term being used very loosely):
"What do you give a paedophile who has everything"
"His own parish".In this case:
"What to you give a sex offender who has everything"
"Membership to the labour party".Pretty f'd up all around really. Pleased that it is a woman at the top that has to deal with the cover up. If it was a man all blokes would be being crucified and the feminists would be going nuts.

Alison Mau is supposed to be their #metoo reporter , she’s been trying to shift the narrative to allegations of bullying for the past few weeks . The Herald didn’t cover the Spinoff story till the afternoon yesterday, stuff not till after about 7 pm .

RNZ are generally pretty good to be fair. The others have been very slow to pick it up, and appear to only be doing so as their hand was forced by new media.
