Looks like it will be a long time in the field.

Oh God. Lost the toss, bowling on a road. No point watching Day 1, then. Just have to hope for a bit of luck or an Indian getting a bit weary and making a mistake.

    Otherwise we are so fucked.

There's a compelling race to see who can rack up a 50 average, might happen in this match !!!!!

.......unfortunately it's between bowlers as opposed to batsmen. I was surprised Sodhi averages 47 compared to Craigs 46.........

Maybe I should have had the cricket on instead of watching yet another depressing Taniwha loss.

Hope we can keep chipping away at them and keep them to a modest total.

    83.5
Boult to Saha, OUT, tip your hat to the bowler and head off for a cup of tea, because that was unplayable. An inswinger that defies the docile pitch and the lack of atmospheric help. It's that SG seam. So prominent. So useful in the hands of a good bowler. Boult pitches it on middle and off and jerks it in through the gap between bat and pad
    WP Saha b Boult 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

    Tasty.

8 down now! Huge. Best days for batting will be Days 2 and 3, and they'll be ours!

Beautiful Boulty, sharp catch from the moral captain. This is officially now a shithouse batting effort isn't it?

    Depends, India raped SA 3-0,

    Indias 1st innings (all batting first) were - 215, 201, 334

Well colour me shocked at that result. Lets hope the boys manage to get that last pesky wicket for under 300.

Early days I know but Santner just seems adept at picking up wickets here and there on a regular basis which can be much more valuable than someone who gets a Michelle once in a blue moon and fuck all in between.

Interesting going through the Indian batting stats, not as awe inspiring as recent history would have us believe. Kohli "only" averages 44, not much considering he's mentioned alongside Root, Smith and our very own KW as the newer generation of batting superstars.
