Fair to say this is a huge year for Razor. No more mucking around, his reputation as a coach is on the line, he has to show big improvement in selection, development, and tactics
He needs to be more adventurous. Hopefully he feels a bit more confident and take some risks. He has a solid tight 5, good halfback options and experience in the backs to fall back on - it's a pretty good foundation to work from.

I'm quite interested to see what kind of year Reiko Ioane has.
Previous coaches have had no issue giving the boot to speedsters who lose their edge even if only by a small margin although unlike them ( well, Umaga ) he broke the norm and shifted positions VERY early.

But never mind. Let's ignore the lessons of what went right and why we managed to almost win RWC2023 with 14 men, and console ourselves with Foster this and Foster that, eh?
Oh you're going on about Foster again.
But I agree adaptability has been a problem with the ABs for some time. And bench timing. I thought our first test against England (I think) was a good use of the bench but then it went back to the meh timing of earlier years. -

Not sure about Reiko, but Rieko Ioane has some competition and needs to show some attacking flair and fire (he is lucky Proctor is injured perhaps).

I think Reece (who was never an out and out speedster) is slowing. If Jordan has lost a bit of pace that is a concern too.
Strategically it would be nice to see some fresh and unexpected talent in the outside backs.

Yeah I made a joke about that last year as a matter of fact.
As for the spelling I haven't had that much of a problem since Ciaran Reed was captain.

I just don't know if he's stopped growing as a 13 or the game plan needs to be built more around him, but I think he really needs to kick on this year.

Joey Manu appears to have signed with a French club for next year? Does this make him any closer to getting into the All Blacks or is it just about money?
it makes him about 10,000km further away from making the ABs
Something he was never doing anyway. Stop this

He decided he was a centre and the coaches said ok. Really he should have been told stick to wing, as he has never been great tin the midfield regularly. He should've kicked on a couple of years ago, but he'll keep his position cos experience, I reckon.
-
tbf I think the way the coaches (Fozzie, Cotter and Razor) are.trying to play with him at 13 does nothing to utilise his pace.
With the right 12 beside him, he would be lethal.

It seems so long since he has been in space it's hard to tell if he is still as fast as he was. We get the odd glimpse of his speed in defence I suppose, but it's hard to judge.

Not great man management
Stevenson aired his frustration, speaking ahead of the Chiefs hosting the Blues in Hamilton on Saturday. He said the communication from the All Blacks, or lack of it, was “disappointing”. “Just the lack of feedback and just not knowing where I sat in the pecking order,” Stevenson said. “Obviously I was pretty injury-prone last year, so I wasn’t expecting much, but I think it’s always nice getting a bit of feedback and knowing what you need to work on,” Stevenson said.
-
@KiwiMurph Well I didn't get feedback either, but it is because I am not in the picture - same for him I guess
But I agree, every player in NZ that has played for ABs, MAB or ABXV should be getting some feedback from the ABs group in some way

Unfairly treated in his time here. He is someone who can feel hard done by.
