    Heads of State

I enjoyed this ridiculous romp of the American President and English Prime Minster much more than I thought I would

In honour of Michael Madsen RIP…..

    I decided to watch Species…..

It’s a pretty B grade flick but does have its good points. The best two being on the stars chest.

Natasha Henstridge could not possibly be hotter and her tendency to get nude is too awesome for words.

Madsen has some cool lines and swagger as always.

‘Tell him he’s about to copulate with a creature from outer space’

Ben Kingsley was a cock, Alfred Molina was annoying.

What the fuck was up with Forrest Whittakers character the empath ? Comes into a train carriage with a dead woman, blood everywhere and an alien cocoon….

    ‘Something bad happened here….’

    Yeah no fucken shit.

Did I mention how good Natasha Henstridge looked ?

2.5 hot aliens out of 5 search and destroy missions

    Old Guard 2

Theron looking like a nineties lesbian with that choker and haircut in which she reprised her role as someone trying to look way younger than she really is

Some good links to the original but a complete sequel flop with no ending so you have to wait for film three

Awful but in a good way, strangely enjoyed it too. Throw back in a lot of ways to eighties comedy action. Some fun cameos

Absolutely gutted. However, not surprised. It seems the norm these days to churn out shit sequels, take the money and rinse again.

Nineties Lesbian sounds like a good alternative title for Old Guard 2 then!

Deep Cover - Sean Bean, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ian McShane, Orlando Bloom.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would!

    Pretty silly but decent enough.

3 lines of coke out of 5 fake guns

I couldn't get through 20 minutes of this. Might be more that I struggle to watch movies on TV these days.

Megan 2.0: Funny action comedy, getting a bit of a kicking but I think some of that is down to people expecting a horror movie. Filmed in NZ.

Jurassic World Something: The latest in this series, pretty average but not unwatchable, star Scarlett Johanssen.

It was a Blumhouse movie that made $180m so unsurprising it got a sequel. Likely wont get another though as this one is underperforming.

I really liked the first but turned off within the first 10 mins of the sequel.

I think I just find it difficult to suspend disbelief when 140lb women are taking hits from full-grown mercs, shrugging them off and throwing them around like ragdolls. Even if they're immortals.

    Jurassic World Rebirth

Once you suspend any critical faculties (yeah I know ... dinosaurs ... ) or any pretense that this had anything to do with Jurassic Park, but was actually Indiana Jones meets Tomb Raider meets Jumanji it becomes quite enjoyable.

Forget the gaping plot holes (i.e., how the hell is the electricity still working?) it's a movie about beautiful people adventuring around the tropics seeking out monsters while channelling Avatar and Avatar sequels and reimagining scenes from the original.

Pretty sure it will struggle at the Ocars but an enjoyable way to spend a rainy Sunday morning.

3.5 demented seagull looking things out of 5 why does that creature look like the Predator?

Interesting. It's getting rave reviews in the press here and was going to give it a try. Will report back.
