I loved this! It made me laugh a few times escpecially the reference that is was only a 20min flight from Auckland and that they would be sipping on a Chardonnay after the 20 min flight.
All quite normal, you see.
Oh, and you have to provide your own Helicopter. Thanks for the tip

@Hooroo Fucking peacocks - way to ruin your sleep
Whangapoua is more than 20 mins from Auckland too - based on both those factual inaccuracies I reckon they should accept my offer of half a pig and a coffee card with two freebies on it.
Peacocks, one of my two hatiest birds when trying to relax. The other and crown master is the Guinea Fowl!!

@Hooroo Great for a zombie Apocalypse hide out.

I wonder if they are the ones that snapped Aaron Smith as I see they have a pervy telescope.
If you need a telescope to see the beach... you are to far from the beach.

It's okay. The cellar is a nice one. I like the master bedroom, and the lounge. Not a fan of the kitchen, and i don't understand the atrium, seems like a poor use of space (build a bigger kitchen!)
I like the external look though.
And agree with Baron, it's too far from the beach to be a dream house on the Coromandel
And if you are having an ad on Stuff, why wouldn't the article link to the Real Estate page?

as long as you can stand on the front lawn and smash golf balls with only a small risk of hitting a house then it's all good, and that one looks good for that.
-
@taniwharugby are the houses in front of me, or off to the side?
-
@mariner4life just aim at them if you are worried about hitting them!
-
Give global warming 20 years and it will be right on the beach!

Until the 1950's properties right on the beach were discounted because you needed to be compensated for the distress of viewing all the unseemly flesh on display
Also although summers at the bach have become an iconic part of kiwi subconscious, fewer than 3% of kiwi's families have owned a bach and only 10% of the population ever had access to a family bach as they grew up.
Pretty sure the number with access to a helicopter would be even lower

That is not true. Beachfront properties at the Mount and Whangamata were always the most prestigous... and costly. I great grandmother bought the first section at Whangamata, quite an interesting story , that I wont bore you with.
