Pretty generalized statement, but majority of the Israli people I have met and dealt with, they are pretty much the most arrogant and fluffybunnyish fluffybunny people about.
Am sure they aren't all like that but, that is just my experience, stereotype city!
So did the Israli PM threaten everyone else or just those they thought they could bully?

I am conflicted about this. I am quite anti Israel, my expereince matches TR's.
BUT.. I think it was a dumb move by NZ to be the leader in this. We are generally respected as being a thoughtful and reasoned international presence.. and now we pull a stunt like this.. in conjunction with an outgoing US administration... and manage to piss off the incoming administration.
McCully is a fuckwit. -

We shouldn't forget that Netanyahu is under a new corruption investigation, so has a good reason to make a lot of noise.
This . And the whole passport thing was pretty obnoxious so I don't see why we should pay much attention to his ranting.
I am boycotting soda stream for the foreseeable future.
Obviously my feelings about Sodastreams spokeswoman Scarlett Johansson will remain unchanged.

Other than that wonderful inner glow of self-satisfaction, what did NZ hope to achieve by sponsoring this?

@Rancid-Schnitzel not much ,Israel tends to give no fucks what the rest of the planet thinks.

A good reason why they aren't pursuing sanctions:
New Zealand exported $26.2 million of goods to Israel in the year ended June 30, and imported $115.5 million of goods. Investment flows were much smaller, with just $1 million of New Zealand investment into Israel in the March year and $20 million of Israeli investment in New Zealand.

@Rancid-Schnitzel In 1979 the Auckland University Students Association passed a motion roundly condemning Israeli aggression.
That showed them!

That's a lot of Sodastreams !
Good job. We have been waiting quietly for a chance to get the pricks back for stealing passports for their Mossad agents and have managed to embarrass them on the world stage in retaliation.
