    This DC-3 (BT-67), a turboprop DC-3 nicknamed Lidia, crashed in 2012.  All the passengers escaped without injury.  However, the aircraft didn't fare as well.

    @jegga Not sure about calling me an "avgeek" there, but that is pretty cool (actually fucking freezing). All those people for 40 odd days to save an old aeroplane - serious dedication. I love Daks, never been in a turbine one but would have to be good.

    @NTA was trying to figure out where I knew the "kid" from. He was in Spiderman and he's actually 31, I was thinking more like late teens.
