Awesome stuff you see on the internet

@Catogrande I honestly think you're all being mean. It's an unfortunate accident that could have happened to anyone. Everyone knows a book will stop a 50 cal bullet 99% of the time. Which is why they use books as the plating on armoured vehicles all over the world.

@Catogrande
I'm not exactly optimistic about the intelligence level of our race generally, but... they didn't even consider the concept of a "test run" ?
Just... awesome. -
@Kruse yeah that's what I like best. Either couldn't afford two bullets or couldn't afford two books. Probably bullets, as surely you could use the same book twice.
Edit: actually, how brilliant were the 30 onlookers. Not a peep out of even one? Kudos.

@Bones How tired of someones bullshit you have to be to just watch from the sidelines? I mean you need to be special kind of stupid to not understand what was going to happen.
"1 foot away? .50 calibre? Nah - you're golden mate."

To be fair if you shoot from more than 1 foot away you risk not hitting the book. That could be fatal.

Australia doesn't tend to get a rep as a cold place, but a couple of hours west of Sydney, in a place called Goulburn, it gets fucking cold occasionally.
Hehe. 23 not a cloud nor breath of wind here in Hervey Bay. (Depths of winter! )
Texted brother in Rotorua.
Got reply "12 degrees cloudy and about to rain!!!"
Queensland winter ...
