Russia conspiracy nonsense does not matter. It is a media and democrat driven nonsense.
Healthcare matters, and Trump is falling at sorting it out. Blaming that on Democrats won't fly. Healthcare and economy is what will make it break the mid terms. -

Yup, healthcare is the important one.
I think the other promises can be fudged. Some strengthening of the border can be called a wall.. if the economy does well the supporters will forget the anti capitalist promises on trade..
If you look back to January the consensus opinion amongst Republicans was to repeal, delay, replace. Trump mistakenly listened to a handful of senators who wanted everything done at once. That was a tactical error and now they are trying to resurrect the repeal, delay, replace and months have been wasted.
The problem here is trying to remove a new entitlement. Politicians are cowards and they are willing to remove taxes but not benefits. So that is why the recent plan was just Obamacare with a few tweaks.
There are reasonable plans that have been proposed. However I think the President needs to endorse one of them and spend some political capital making the case for it. Much like Obama did (for a really shitty law) back in the first year of his Presidency.
The 'bully pulpit' can ease the pressure on law makers who face elections next year. If the President remains disengaged on this, the process will fail again and it will be hard for his term to recover.

Sad news breaking about John McCain - turns out he has brain cancer and the operation last week also removed a brain tumour as well as the blood clot.
Cant see him returning to in the next couple of weeks and if its much longer, it'll add to the difficulty the GOP are currently facing with their healthcare reform. -

I see that Mr Foot-in-mouth, Sean Spicer is now gone. A bit of a weird appointment in the first place really, so no great surprise.

@Catogrande
The new Communications Director is a bulldog.

@Duluth He was supporting a different candidate back then.
That was when many people, including most people on the board, were laughing at his chances of becoming President. Well, they're not laughing now. (although I still am)You should look at the press briefing today for a fuller understanding.
Here it is. Enjoy.

That is a pathetic explanation. That wasn't a policy disagreement that was a character attack
Automatically saying everything Trump does is good is as asinine as saying everything he does is bad.

Trump now has a reason to fire Sessions it appears.
New AG = limit or fire Mueller. -
-
@phoenetia Ha ha - might do.
Trump is too loose with his mouth, that is for sure.I actually don't mind Mueller continuing, but I want to see a prima-facie case Trump has done something illegal such that he should be investigated in the first place. If there is, he can be investigated. If not, fuck off. And don't use other angles as excuses to rummage through his life.
Given Comey had said Trump has never been the subject of investigation, I find it strange that he now faces the possibility of them going through his whole life in search of something.
Currently, in regard to Trump himself, this is tax-payer funded opposition research. If there is no prima-facie case, this would mean Trump and his AG can open cases on every politician they don't like in search of a "smoking gun." No evidence needed. Just keep going until you find something.

That's too close to Bob Monkhouse's quote. People laughed when i said I wanted to be a comedian - well they're not laughing now.
