It's funny because i always saw nasty abusive sledging from the opposition as a sure sign they were losing the plot and that we were well on top.

Similarly I have played with a couple of guys who would get a bit abusive, particularly when they were bowling. Used to piss me off because they were gun bowlers when they had their mind on the job but got dragged down into a shit fight when things got nasty.

Wow. Shit is gonna kick off now. Does this set a new precedent for contact in cricket? Bring on the mma shit yo. If you can choke out the bowler before a review decision you can't be out !! Sweet

Just a ruling that it is acceptable to punch Warner would suffice.

Watch the first bit where Smith throws Bancroft under the bus

Smith and Boof should be sacked. 'The boys in the shed are embarrassed'. So much remorse (after being caught).

In his rambling, though, he did confess to bringing the game into disrepute.

.....and it is all so fucking hilarious!

Seriously though, if the ICC don't have the balls to charge Smith and Lehman it will be a piss weak effort on their behalf. Bancroft also deserves further charges.

Smith has admitted to being complicit to an attempt to cheat. It was a planned act.

Lehman sent a message out for Bancroft to hide his cheating as the cameras had caught him.

Bancroft then deliberately lied to the umpires, showing them a sunglasses case.

Saying 'we are very sorry' doesn't cut the mustard.

Will be interesting to hear the CA line as well.

Wtf! Admission of preplanned, and leadership group endorsed, ball tampering!! Then you throw your youngest player under the bus??!! Fuck me, these guys have a long way back to any claims of playing anywhere near the spirit of the game.
@Crucial that 'explain' opening to the vid was brutally cold.

Interesting to read through the commentary on cricinfo, they seemed keen to downplay the incident as it unfolded. Bias showing through there.

Completely unsurprised. When it comes to their national cricket team: "same old Aussies, always cheating".

Come on. It's just good hard aggressive cricket. They know where the line is and they don't cross it.

Oh hang on. That's their excuse for personal abuse of the opposition. What's their excuse for blatant cheating again? "We're not good enough to win an important game ...?"

We know that line changes depending on the circumstances.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot and deflecting any conversation about Rabada and the personal abuse from the crowd.
