@tim That looks like an awesome movie.

But then you go to Wikipedia - you read what it's about - still sounds great - and then you read the list of stars and it's WTF?

How can this movie have seven male stars and no females?

@chris-b IMDB does show some females, but given the synopsis

Discontent leads to a daring escape plan in a women's prison where the inmates are all lingerie clad models and the lesbian warden demands unusual favours for early parole.

There shouldn't really be many males at all.

@taniwharugby I would think any male is superfluous - even Erik!

I'm guessing it's another fantastic concept ruined by Hollywood!

Watched Cliffhanger last night. Hasn't aged too poorly.

Loved the part where he is burning the money to keep warm and he tells the missus "it costs a fortune to heat this place"

    So sooo bad!

An aside: on a recent flight I watched *Three Billboards ... * and, because it was a flight, they dubbed out pretty much anything resembling offensive words.

It pissed me off at first, but then I really got into the poorly-matched voices for "fudge" and "shoot" and "mother-lover". I was re-dubbing it in my head on the fly and while my Woody Harrelson needs work, I think my Sam Rockwell was competitive.

Most amusing while the guy in 10B is trying to calm his screaming newborn while mouthing "sorry" to everyone, his other three kids running riot and the wife basically ignoring the lot of them.

While I understand some people need to travel with newborns to visit family, thinking "she'll be right" with 4 kids on a flight to Fiji isn't one of those situations. How the fuck can you have a relaxing holiday when that's going on? And, in the same breath, why are you fucking mine up?

There needs to be an airline for people with children. And they're barred from using whatever airline I'm on. I thought that's what Jetstar was.

Yep, they can call it Fuck You Air.

Look, I get that parents need a break as well. I'm a parent! But we knew that flying with our kids under a certain age would just be a fucking shitfight so we didn't do it.

Were you flying mn5 Airways? I haven't seen censoring happening on airline entertainment for at least a decade I reckon.

@nta when we flew to England I am pretty sure that was the only time my kids behaved like angels for more than 5 minutes, I couldn't believe it, model children for 26 hours, we had other parents saying your kids were so well behaved and polite (were 3 and 6)

Straight up some other guys bumhole yeah...

    Game of Death

Basically a bunch of fight scenes filmed by Bruce Lee before he died that a bunch of producers spliced together and turned into a terrible ( at least plot and acting wise ) movie. Some of the standins are just shocking but the final scene in which he has to take on one fighter after another ( including this awesome scene with Kareem Abdul Jabbar ) make up for it.

3.5 bad stand ins out of 5 real things.

Oceans 8 - Not as good as 11 and 13 but probably a wee bit better than 12. Probably needed Soderbergh to direct rather than just produce as it was a bit Soderbergh light. The pacing was a bit off and it dragged a wee bit in both the first two acts when it probably didn't need to. Anne Hathaway was pretty good in it.

I had the exact same experience - except the dubbing was good enough (or I was tired/stupid enough) - to not realise for quite some time what was happening... I thought it was just a deliberately hokey/cutesy dialogue, Coen-ish. And it kinda worked. When I realised it was dubbed over, I got distracted trying to figure out if actual cuss words would improve it or make it worse.
Malaysia Airlines, it was for me, I believe, @Bones.

@kruse I reckon Emirates and other Muslim country services would be the same. And Fijians are very shy and polite.
