Rampage
Basically King Kong mashed up with Godzilla and a big wolf. All of the monsters smash up the city until the Rock comes along and saves the day. At one stage the chick says to the Rock ( who has brushed of a painful looking bullet in his side ) 'Davis, try not to get yourself killed'.
I bet this movie cost a fortune to make, unfortunately it is utter shit. Where THE FUCK is the Gorilla gonna live when the carnage is over ? Does the Rock not mind the fact he ate the bad lady whole ?
1.5 video game remakes out of 5 monster movies. ( it get a .5 cos Negan says a couple of funny lines )

@mn5 it has made some decent coin at the box office, I'd say the vast majority of that is down to The Rock, pretty much the most marketable face on the planet right now.
I actually enjoyed it for what it was, a bit of fun

It is a movie based on a game I used to play on a mates PC in the 80s. I wasn't exactly expecting Citizen Kane but I hoped for more than the pile of shit that I got.

Agreed, I enjoyed it more than Jurassic World 2 - it was stupid and knew it was stupid.
@MN5 According to Box Office Mojo it cost $120m and made over $400m. Not close to JW2 business but not bad for a movie based solely on The Rock's charisma.

... and "kids from the 80s who used to play Rampage-the-game" 's nostalgia
I watched it myself on the weekend, expecting... welll, a movie starring the Rock, with the plot being this:
I wasn't disappointed... shit/zero plot, big monsters, reasonable budget, The Rock... it's exactly what it says on the tin.

Amazing that studios are so devoid of ideas that they based an entire film on a video game from my childhood. I'm surprised that they haven't made a Gauntlet movie yet

Ready Player One, enjoyed it. Tons of 80s etc pop culture references and Easter eggs. Not a particularly deep movie, thought the villain (Krennic from R1) was rather bland.
A lot of fun but definitely not one of Speilbergs best
3.5 special keys out of 5 pop culture references -

You should probably be a Movie Exec. Gauntlet is only a matter of time.
Midnight Resistance?
Commando & Pirates! - pretty much already done.
Defender of the Crown - likewise.
The fact that they've done Rampage, opens up the more bizarre shit though - Bubble Bobble, Boulder Dash.
Syndicate - now that's a fucking movie. -

Ok.......of about 50 million posts this is your best one. I genuinely laughed more than I should ( maybe too much pinot? I've been left alone for the night )

We were spoilt in the late 70s/early 80s. Every sci fi scene looked fucken cheap and nasty compared to Star Wars.
Case in point....

In Darkness - Natalie Dormer and EMily Ratajkowski
Dormer plays a blind musician who hears her upstairs neighbour killed, but doesnt tell the police what she heard.
3 morgue trout pouts out of 5 hard acting to be blind moments (would be 2.5, but Dormer, as is customary, gets the girls out)
