Gotta say we missed Retallick big time.

Hmm, yes and no. Yes, because he's the GOAT. No, because Scott Barrett was actually one of the few who was playing well. Maybe SB to 6 ...

The neutrals are going to be partying big time now.

Then they aren’t neutrals, they are in fact fluffybunnies.

I gotta say though Goodhue must start. As soon as he came on the back line looked untold better.

Sounds silly but he is the Dan a Carter of centres. Has sooooo much time on the ball and does the right thing every time.

That bok defence though. That was something else. For 80 mins too. Truly didn’t think they had the fortitude to do that

    fair enough too.

if youre neutral you want a close rc not a waltz in the park for nz.

but seriously, grant fox in the wise men...can he not spend some time with BB at the tee.

    One positive as a sidenote:
How refreshing was that seeing a reserve AB hooker line up for his first throw of the night and not fucking it up? 🙂

What were the odds that one of our two converted fullbacks could have successfully taken a drop kick...

Good gutsy performance from the Boks, but we gifted them two tries - having switched off after the first two of our own. Throw in Barrett’s atrocious kicking and it looked like the necessary wake-up call. In retrospect, Hansen would have been better starting Mo’unga in this match and played a more Crusaders-style than a Hurricanes one. At least he would have kicked the goals.

Yeah absolutely re Goodhue. He adds the punch that ALB just can't from centre (I think ALB is a 12 all day). Crotty was ok. ALB was persona non grata.

They had 2 options at the end, continue with the pick and drive or go for the droppie. I thought this team was more composed than this.

Whitley with 65 minutes in his legs running down TJP, with only about 5 mins in his, was quite a telling image of the match.

Wasn't a pivotal moment as nz eventually scored from that field position, but a moment.

Only if it had been Mo'unga at 10, with BB at fullback instead of Jordie.

Edited to add that it probably would have been a bit much to throw Mo'unga in this game after only 1 start.

I think ALB was better than Crotty (who offered nothing IMO), just overshadowed his decent game with that silly and unnecessary intercept to that dwarf

It's funny how people are talking up the Boks defence..

They gave up 6 tries.. If the AB's had a goalkicker, they would have won..

The only positive from Crotty was that he didn't go off injured

Since when is a drop goal a sure thing? Especially with the way Perenara was passing.

Just seems like the ABs didn't give a fuck. It didn't matter that Barrett missing kicks, they were looking to win by scoring tries.
