Yep, he nails it.
Baron, I’ll be freaked out when people agree this is a good course of action.
The UK police need a better PR team.
You will be freaked out when people agree that this is a good course of action??
They already do.. the MSM, govt, police and army..... how many more do you need?
It is already more than enough, when a vocal and militant minority including govt, army police and MSM officials think it is a good course of action, and the vast majority just sleepwalk along with fatal banality. The time to freak out is when this shite is being enforced not when the majority agree with it. You think police states start with a majority wanting a police state? Seriously?
The UK populace needs to wake the fuck up. I lived in the UK for a long time, I wouldn't want to go there again, and I wouldn't see my kids going there and def not growing up there.I think you are being chicken little.
I don’t agree with these things happening at all. But it seems unless I’m prepared to lose my shit over it, freak out and explode into a rage, then I’m just a sleepwalker who needs to wake the fuck up.
It’s a shame you won’t visit - you’d actually learn what the true population thinks, not just what was is presented by media - msm or independent.
What the true population think is irrelevant. Surely you realise that now?
Well, we’d be staying in the EU if that was the case.
True brexiteers would agree with you though.
Very poor example. Almost nothing gets put to a referendum. When is the true population going to put a stop to this bullshit?
A poor example as it goes against your rhetoric?

Not so sure about that RS. Referendums are rare but there are other ways that a wider voice can be demonstrated. Much of it is pretty lame, Facebook petitions and the like. But there is the option to place a petition to the government (Downing St I think) providing you have enough signatures. True this rarely amounts to much but likely due to the triviality of the petition. However the mechanism is there. Probably more powerful is when a mainstream newspaper gets a good grip on the zeitgeist and launches a campaign that is actually based on a groundswell feeling rather than something the editor has got sand in his panties over. In the UK over the years we’ve had loads of stupid stuff like the illustrations below and in truth it rarely gets anywhere. The difference now is the ability for the stupidity to spread which is much greater. To counter that though the ability to debunk such stupidity is also that much greater.

Yes, and my initial riposte was that Brexit proves against that. May is absolutely clear her view of no re-vote as that goes against British democracy. and Brexit must go ahead. Which is clearly in contrast to what you say.
You could of course argue the Boris Johnson view in that it's not a real Brexit and she's in contrast yet again of this. Well, I'm afraid there is no easy solution there which is part of the wider issue - you can't please everybody, so who do you please and who do you piss off?
The borders will be back in control, which is what I believe most of the vote came from, and hence I think if she can deliver that, as well as keeping as many of the jobs here as possible, then she's done a half decent job. Just my view though. I've veered off topic enough anyway.
Your thoughts on people in power imposing things they don't want, well, I don't see Britain as any better or worse than any other country - and thats kind of one of the prices of the democratic governance we all abide by. And free speech allows all of us to question that. And hence why the movements that exist, do exist.
And I have a higher level of comfort than others as "the people" are not lying down and accepting these idiotic things. There's a massive difference between a govt imposing idiotic things which bear no real relevance to common sense, logic, people safety, people best interests and the people following blindly along, and the situation in the UK.
It ain't North Korea ... it ain't even close.

Most my UK friends are totally oblivious to these goings on. When I do talk to them about it they start off pretty incredulous and to be honest I still don't think they grasp the gravity of it. I fully get where they are coming from, if all your media sources slant everything in one perspective how can you possibly see another? How could there possibly be industrialised child gang rape going on in multiple towns and cities over some 20+ years with authorities, media and politicians knowingly turning a blind eye? Seems like an absolute crazy conspiracy theory, it's just too horrible to be true so lets just say it isn't and paint anyone who dares tell the truth as being the most horrible thing we can think of as a warning to others.
Then you get this sort of madness.

I really don't think it is a slant or perspective from the media and certainly no conspiratorial campaign to ignore.
This issue simply gets it's moment in the news cycle like any other and the UK media (like most media these days) is only interested in whatever issue is front and centre to catch attention. That could be something serious or something frivolous.
As you say, most people are aghast when confronted with it, but that is the fault of people themselves who care more on a daily basis on who is snogging who on Strictly Come Dancing than serious issues.
Another factor is simply the lifestyle for many in the UK which doesn't revolve around the nightly news as much as in NZ. It rare to see a commuter reading a newspaper other than the free rags dished out twice a day which never have detail about anything. I'd say that those that have more than a passing interest in Current Affairs are very aware of this issue. The more issues like this are politicised by accusations of cover ups or finger pointing toward anti-immigration groups the less the actual problem gets discussed and dealt with.

Begs the question though whether a convicted rapist would ever be transported on a public bus in the way they are on a public flight with passengers unaware.
Other than using the AirForce to relocate deportees though, I guess it's the only option.
I don't think I'd be happy to have a violent criminal seated behind me in a confined space. -

@rancid-schnitzel so your a true brexiteer then ... ?
How is this different to the rest of the planet?
What? The whole point is that what the true population think or want is irrelevant if those in power or positions of influence wish to impose something on them.
You've obviously missed the point so I'm not even going to bother. North Korea ffs.
No, I disagreed with your point. Very different.
No you can't even properly address my point and instead go massively off topic about Brexit and then make a ridiculous references to North Korea.
