I'm okay with the outcome. Seems like a strange reasoning. Intent doesn't normally matter.

Intent does matter with "deliberate" knock on, Without assessing intent, how can you call deliberate or not?

How can you be ok with the outcome?

I don't really think deliberate knock ons should be penalties (generally). I would say it should have to be a slap down for a penalty - that isn't how it tends to be refereed though.

Are you meaning if someone taps it forward but up? Shouldn't be a penalty? Oh yes it fucken should.

Not a deliberate knock on? WTF is the clown smoking?

It's not a deliberate knock on. How many penalties are we gonna have if we start penalising people for accidental knock ons?

It is deliberate because it didn't go backwards and he didn't catch it. That removes any "judgement".

They were also about a mile offside.

The Saders have been very good at times, but I think they’ve also been over the line with their discipline.

Looks like it’s going to pay off though.

It's generally refereed if a player has a genuine chance to catch the ball. So it isn't generally about intent.

Under that ruling, every knock on is deliberate.

Isn’t it weird how Blues fans criticise Pulu for constantly being a retard?

It's not deliberate. Are you saying every forward pass is deliberate now? That's a penalty. And lineouts, where the tap down goes awry and ends up going forward? Penalty.

You might want to learn the laws. A player in possession can knock on ffs.

I guess if you can't deal with the issue at hand you can always come up with your own red herrings.

Weird feeling, with a better ref we would have had that. Still lots for us to work on, but far better than last year

The good news is that the blues have the talent to win a few games, including NZ derbies. The bad news is that they still have players trying to win the game with some fantastic ‘one-off’ play, rather than trusting their systems and making better decisions. If they had a better HB and better FB I think they’d have won that game. Or a goal kicker, of course.

Well compared to the pile of rust, and then the defence-less cripple fight of yesterday, this game was great. Very much enjoyed it, result as expected but much better from the blues than all of last year
