    I Am Wrath (2016)

This one starred John Travolta as John Wick as Keanu Reeves as another vigilante, again, going though his revenge list for vigilante justice. Basically, just murdering people. Behind the pub. In the club. Everywhere! But Johnny's the good guy. Cos the baddies murdered his wife. Blam, blam, shooty, shooty.

    11% on RT.

However, as a lazy fluffybunny glued to the sofa on a Friday night, the d-grade John Wick shittiness wasn't the reason I turned it off. I can live with braindead Barbarino shooty shooty on the telly at the end of a working week. No, it was the incessant fucking action music soundtrack that ran RIGHT the fuck through the thing, railroading right over all the dialogue, no fucks given, that saw me cry off. Could hardly even hear what any fucker said. How did the film end? Probably not in Oscar nominations.

These days John Travolta looks creepy as hell. Like he's wearing a John Travolta mask. Like those bank robber guys might do.

JT was cool as fuck in Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction. That is enough for movie immortality. He should have stopped there.

I am Wrath is a diabolically shithouse movie and his acting skills and presense have taken a permanent vacation.

    Your review is too kind.

King Arthur: Legend of the sword

Or maybe it should be called Arfa da geezer, wiv is shank O doom, add it's basically "Guy Ritchie fucks around with British Myth".

It wasn't bad overall. Lot of cool cinematography and the staples Ritchie is know for, but the face Charlotte Hunnam can't do a decent British "street" accent to keep up with the other actors was kind of irritating. No fucking idea why they're was one black dude in the whole thing, either.

You're pointing out a black dude when there's elephants that are hundreds of feet tall that shoot fireballs off pyramids on their backs ?

    @MN5 magic is one thing.

Only having ONE black guy in the entire thing - with no other discernible black people - is weird.

Unless it is one of these situations? 🤔

I watched “Mandy” (2018) — a very arty horror-revenge genre treatment with truckloads of double-exposures and overlapping transitions bathed in red, where Nic Cage’s wife is kidnapped by a biker gang cult of homicidal cannibalistic human-sacrifice psychopaths on LSD. Nicholas escapes the barb-wire hand ties, acquires a crossbow, makes a crazy sword and hunts them down one-by-one in the forest.

Mesmerizing in places. Starts off the title sequence with KIng Crimson’s “Starless” and the movie soundtrack develops from it.

    You Were Never Really Here
... Joaquin Phoenix, fucking people up with a hammer... but it's never really shown on screen.
It's like watching something like Old Boy, with all the action "off-camera".
In general - rather good, and rather odd.
    4 deaths-by-hammer out of 5 not-really-sure-what-the-plot-was. 's.

He's actually bald these days, here he is with Simon Mannering's doppelganger

How old is that pic. Saw a (very good) doco about the making of SNF. They interviewed JT, who appeared to be wearing a long grey wig.

I don't know. But he was out on the red carpet recently with his daughter sporting a chrome dome. He still prefers to wig up though

He should keep it shaved. Looks absolutely ridiculous with those wigs.

Works for Bruce Willis, he just has to stop wanting to be Vinny Barbarino or Vincent Vega

Looks like he’s a bit of a fluffybunny

@antipodean aside from the quality (or lack thereof) of recent films I wouldn't be surprised if his acting like a fluffybunny in pretty much all his promo interviews etc has caught up to him. It does have a bit of charm from time to time, but he must be a real fun guy to work with. Not!!

Harrison Ford conveys the same kind of feel, but you get sense he's hamming it up just a wee bit.

@antipodean quantity over quality bro...5 crap films at $2,000,000 a pop is better than 1 average one at $5,000,000!
