I used to love reruns of their show growing up, and the music was catchy. One of their hits 'I'm a Believer' was written by Neil Diamond of all people

    “ I’m a bereaver” seems more suitable

    Too soon ?

That chick and Markle are about the best reasons to watch suits.

That chick. No Markle about it.

Opposite for me, Markke over the giant Ginga.

    Hmmm...nah too skinny.

Andre Previn, conductor, composer, dead at 89.

Ofcourse, his finest hour was on Morcombe and Wise "all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order"

Damn, saw them preform at Download festival, controversial at the time as they weren't exactly metal. They absolutely dominated though

That’s the lead story on the herald . My first thought was how sad it was and how he seemed pretty humble and down to earth every time I saw him interviewed and he didn’t end up being a parody of himself like Richard Greico which is probably pretty easy when every teenage girl in the western world had a poster of you on their bedroom wall.

The second thing I thought was 52?How old was he when he was playing a teenager?

Not as old as the girl who played Andrea:

    Very sad.

Some absolutely banging tracks. I think mates and I played 'the fat of the land' over 1000 times. RIP.

he was good in the Buffy the Vampire slayer too along with Kristy Swanson ( well, obviously she was the main reason I enjoyed it )

One of my first crushes absolutely loved Luke Perry. He used to occasionally drink beer, he had sidies, he didn't have a 'boy body' like I did ( about the height I am now but 65kg dripping wet ) so she thought he was such a bad boy.... I flustered and pointed out he must have been about 25-26 in real life ( back in those days googling someone's age obviously wasn't an option ).

I'll flick her a message on FB, she may need comforting.

The Luke Perry phenomenon always puzzled me. Jason Priestly I could understand, but Perry was a pale, scrawny ET looking dude.

Really sad about his death though. That's pretty damn young these days.

It was as much about the character, than anything else. Broody, James Dean type, mega weathy guy who seems a bit sad. Lady catnip.

Mrs Mariner was a bit devo this morning. I would imagine there are a lot of ladies our age who are.

Fucking 90210 was a TV phenomenon

As for the Prodigy guy, that sucks. Saw them at the BDO and they were fucking manic. As with a large number of us here, thrashed The Fat of the Land (jesus, so did the Outback really) but Voodoo People has always been my favourite Prodigy track
