Old TV Shows

There was a weird as fuck show called Sapphire and Steel around then. I think it was a bit ahead of its time
British show. Was very bizarre and low budget in the classic BBC style. Joanna Lumley and David McCallum. I used to enjoy it but didn't know what the hell I was watching
That was exactly what I thought

All the guys were metals and all the chicks were gems. The beeb made great sci fi back then. Tom Baker's Dr Who and Blake's 7 were unmissable

If I win enough money to have a classic car collection, a Ferrari 308 is first in there.

Bit prior to the 80s I thought. Loved that. Was British.
Joanna Lumley and David McCullum.
Who was The Invisible Man, youse fullas forgot that one).
Oh yeah, which reminds me of The Incredible Hulk with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferigno. "Don't make me angry... you won't like me when I'm angry ..."

I see it's been said.
Quite spooky.

Because of Magnum PI? A Hyundai i30 is a faster car, that's what happened to performance.

Airwolf TV star Jan-Michael Vincent dies at 73
Tbh I thought he was already dead.
Airwolf was farking cool. Shit I loved the 80s. CHIPs, Ateam, Magnum, Knightrider, Airwolf. So good.
Duke of Hazard, Logan's Run, Riptide, Greatest American Hero. Great back then, most are almost unwatchable now
Tried rewatching Ateam some years ago, first thing that struck me was there was a female character who appeared in a lot of the easier episodes. Completely unable to recall that from my childhood memories.
Other thing was how hammy it was, couldn’t get through more then an episode or 2 before I gave up.
The 80’s was still a golden age of tv as a kid to watch though. -

80s action shows were lots of fun but light on realism. Another 2 sci fi series I really enjoyed were Buck Rogers in the 25th century and the original Battlestar Galactica

T'was a thing of beauty, almost on a par with the 246 that preceded it.
Edit: Here you go.

I still love that car despite finding out the interior was full of poverty spec Fiat handles and switches and even after the head of MacLaren replied when asked if their first road car was going to be like a Ferrari “ oh no, we wouldn’t employ anyone that welds that badly”.

@Virgil Not to forget probably the most influential comedy show of the early to mid 80s,
As a youngster I found it hilarious, even if I didn't get all the subtle jokes. Apart from the spinoff shows of the main cast (Alexei Sayle's stuff, Filthy Rich and Catflap, The New Statesman) the show was like a who's who of comics who would loom large in british comedy for the next 20 years. Off the top of my head, future prominent actors or comics that guest starred on the show included
French and Saunders
Frye and Lawrie
Smith and Jones
Hale and Pace
Emma Thompson
Robbie Coltrane
Lenny Henry
Ben Elton -

The PC World we live in makes this in particular so fucken good these days and even better than when I watched in the 90s. Bundys sexism and fatism must absolutely trigger the shit out of the far left some of whom find "Friends" offensive.....

Bundy did trigger people though 😂. I remember the show was AO in NZ and my parents in particular were appalled. I loved it. It smashed the mould of a typical sitcom which was that Full House/Growing Pains soppy crap.
