@JC And you call yourself JC. How does Dad feel about all of this?
He says heโs made his views perfectly clear. But he wonโt say who he made them clear to. If it was Israel Folau then you guys are all in deep shit.
Whew.

Yeah, nah. You rib-thieves have a whole different level of problems with Old Beardie. You know, since that thing with the apple and the snake.

Bullshit like this from GoFundMe is part of the reason why the conservative party in Aus. recently won the 'unwinnable' election.
Agree
The more folks talk about tolerance yet exhibiting it rarely in your political views/opinions the more they expose yourself to be a condescending hypocrite
It's a worldwide trend:
Trump Brexit Bolsanaro Morrison Modi winning with an absolute majority
Exclusivity does NOT mean conformity of opinions into echo chambers and corporate censorship
I always laugh at fools who utter "They're a private company who are enforcing their Terms of Service"
The willingness to concede & accept such authoritarian behaviour is sad to see
But as Lenin said "Useful Idiots"

It is hardly foolish to point out that someone was using a service that specifically excluded that usage in their T&Cs.
You talk about freedom but then also expect that the website creators aren't allowed to follow their own morals/politics/whatever? Hypocritical much?
Freedom means that Follow and his followers are free to set up their own platform for fundraising.
All you have to do in this debate is substitute homophopia with racism in your arguments and see how well they stand up. You would see nothing wrong in a corporate (or service) website stating that they would not allow racism on their platform.
What this comes down to is merely what you think is acceptable. The 'free speech' arguments only come out whether you think something is 'worthy of debate' or not eg racism or terrorist agendas vs discrimination by sexual identity.
Obviously my personal opinion is that I accept that sexuality is part and parcel of someone's being (as is skin colour) and they can't (and shouldn't) change that. If you think otherwise then please explain away.

Guess who's back Fundraising again
https://www.acl.org.au/donate_izzy
He already raised over AUS $200,000 in a mater of hours
Good on Izzy
The PC Mob in the name of "tolerance" have made him a bigger cause to donate to
Plus he's got a AUS $100,000 donation from a Christian lobby group and access to their platform

I see a lot of talk about these T&C's for both his employment contract and Go-Fund-Me. Do you have either that clearly show he is in the wrong here?

@Jaguares4real although while he is supposedly fighting for freedom of speech, he has turned off commenting on his posts...
They been talking about Maria alot on the Radio this morning...is a tough one for her, given she is entitled to support her husband, she has remained largely quiet on the subject, but since she shared his fundme thing, people have started asking about her views.
@Rembrandt isnt that aspect going to come up in his court case, about his breach of code of conduct, as in, if there was something in his contract or not?
The fundme Ts and Cs is supposedly around promoting hate speech, which his fight is to defend his right to say what he wants, despite it supposedly being hate speech...

Yes that was my understanding, we need to wait for the case to see what the actual details are. Reporting leading up to this seems to suggest it wasn't as cut-and-dried as many are making it out.

Sounds pretty vague, happy to be proven wrong but I don't think he broke T&C's. @Crucial seems pretty certain, prove me wrong bud!

Other than a statement about solidarity with the LGWTFKWNTJDKWMRK community I don't think they've banned him because of the T&Cs. If that were the case then I think there would be a shit load more causes that would need to get the arse. But obviously they won't.

I have a strong suspicion that this going to be a game of Whack-A-Mole, but I donated again, and this time with a bigger donation as one atheistsโ F.U. to Gofundme.

Also as a comparison we have these campaigns in operation for known Australians seeking legal fees

The bloke behind the new funding platform is a whole lot better at writing the profile.
Recently the online fundraising platform GoFundMe shut down Israel Folauโs legal defence fund and turned away hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations.
On behalf of the Australian Christian Lobby, I have spoken to Israel Folau to let him know that ACL will be donating $100,000 to his legal defence, because itโs right and it sets an important legal precedent.
I have also offered to host his online appeal for funds here on our website and he has accepted our offer.
All gifts you give on this web page will be deposited into a trust account to pay for Israel Folauโs legal case.
Straight away I'd feel more comfortable donating here, funds will be going to legal fees and the importance of creating a legal precedent.
Now the big question, will the mob shut this down? There's been a number of examples of payment processors, app stores, credit card companies and even banks refusing service to people that question current orthodoxy.

No commission to the platform either I'd imagine. When will these dickheads ever learn.
