I was surprised that Lloyd and Botham were so confident with the Warner lbw
One of the pluses of the CWC was not having to listen to Botham's inane ramblings. Great player. Crap commentator

Also, numbers and names on test shirts? I'm not having that
I'm sure there's a joke there about convicts and prison numbers, but I can't be buggered to work on it.

I'll take 284 after that start.
Smith is still the man.
If Siddle can bowl like he hated, we're half a chance.
I'm still shocked that anemic vegan is in the team over Hazlewood
-
Smith is the fuck man isn't he?
And he's so interesting to watch. His "technique"looks like he is constantly in a tangle, but he just middles his bail out shots. What a player, but not one you would get your kid to copy!
-
some people still booed Smith when he got his ton? Or refused to clap a hundred like that? People are dicks.
-
@mariner4life yeah I thought that was a dick move, from the audio I heard the booing was much louder than any clapping for the hundy. I know it all happened under his watch and he missed a trick on nipping it in the bud, but I just don't have it in me to boo him for it. Davey, fuck yes - but I already didn't like that mofo.
But that booing will continue for the rest of their playing careers, someone will always be in the crowd ready to let loose. Similar to Quade Cooper. Even if the level of spite or genuine grievance goes it'll always be a laugh for some.
He's like Chris Harris on speed AND roids! His hand-eye coordination and awareness of where his body is is off the charts. Plus he's absolutely a nightmare to bowl too, has no dramas walking all over his crease and exposing his stumps to get in position for a shot.

I could understand if it was Warner getting booed but not so much Smith.
Really happy he is back and awesome. Love watching him bat.
i can understand a bit of a boo when he comes out to bat. But when you score a hundred like that, while your team falls apart around you? On day 1 of an Ashes series? come on

Just watched the highlights. Umpires seemed to get almost every decision wrong - they are just guessing it seems .....
I saw that to just to top things off, the ump that got the majority wrong was also stung by a wasp in the last hour of play! What a day to remember!

Comparing Chris Harris to Smith. Now I truly have seen it all !
