Wow! Cummins gets Burn out third ball of the innings and then Captain Root for a Golden Duck.

That ball to Root was glorious.

Steve Smith is amazing. Even better than before the cheating scandal. And to come back from the head knock in the last test.

First time I've found wee Davey genuinely amusing. Made me laugh even. A fine response

Good delivery from Cummins to get Roy. Fucking the guy has some massive defensive flaws

Stokes doesn't get the bat out of the way and Cummins has 4. Paine knew. Stokes knew. Umpire didn't move but stokes walked

England 87-4 after lunch.Stokes gone. England need a miracle to bat out these two sessions and keep the session alive.

Surely Australia can't throw away victory again?

@Siam Way to own it and turn the crowd back on his side, for a moment at least

Denly gone. Australia need 5 wickets to retain the Urn.

    This is enthralling stuff.

Crowd have been riding every ball for the last 90 minutes!

Lab comes on and snags a big wicket. Excellent bowling change by Paine.

And they get the final LBW.

Oz retain the Ashes and go 2-1 up in the series.

    How is this possible?

I read in all the English newspapers that Ben Stokes could and would defeat Oz on his own, single-handedly....

If it goes 2-2 they'll probably do that.

Just saw a nice line: “Australia retained the Ashes in England for the first time since the collapse of Ansett”.

Nice to get the job done. I reckon if England got away with the draw we'd struggle to back up in the 5th test.

The decision to bowl Marnus was a beauty from Paine.

Right, odd number years of course, when held in England.

Ansett actually folded 2002 but doesn't change the fact - bloody long time ago.
